Est-ce que vous cherchez un soleil et le sable des vacances remplies à un, Outer Banks location en bord de mer à prix abordable? Eh bien ne cherchez plus. Un particulier Harbor est l'endroit idéal pour le plaisir, de la romance et de détente.

Le Port est petite, mais la plage est large! Le 'Harbor' est une seule pièce efficacité cabana autonome, décoré dans ambiance Tommy Bahama / Margaritaville. Il est sur la ligne en dehors d'un groupe de quarante petites cabanas. Ses caractéristiques comprennent le lit d'un capitaine de la reine, un lit queen gigogne canapé-lit, et une cuisine complète. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec toutes les commodités de la maison. L'occupation maximale est de trois personnes. Le port dispose de trois ponts extérieurs, les ponts supérieurs a une vue imprenable sur l'océan! Recette pour une escapade à la plage parfaite: Il suffit d'ajouter Rum!
Vous pouvez prendre votre café du matin avec vous sur une promenade le long de la plage. Bien loin de l'époque de la chasse aux parfaits coquillages. Regardez les dauphins jouent dans et hors des ondes. Rig jusqu'à une canne à pêche et les poissons de conversation contes avec les habitants. Ou prenez votre planche de surf et attraper la vague parfaite.

Maintance Issues

Thought we would go to the beach during the winter to experence Hatteras when it was quiet. Overall experence was good. The sliding door at the front of the cabana was tilted and didn't slide competely closed so it was very cold the first night. then I stuffed towels in the cracks that helped. The toilet insides were rusted and the flapper would not shut properly, so everytime we flushed the toilet we needed to take off the top and push it in the sealed position. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The beach is awesome. Watching the sun rise and seeing the vast array of stars at night was breath taking. Drove up and down the outter banks and saw the four major lighthouses.

The description online isn't accurate. It states there is an ocean view. The only thing you can see is the top of the other roofs from the very top deck. There is no hot tub and that is reason I chose the location. There is so many maintenance issues that needed to be addressed; loose boards on the stairs, no outside deck light had to change light bulb, no light in the main area, broken water hydrant, toilet runns nonstop, scratched furniture, and burn marks on coutertop. There are also cleanliness issues as well; a couple pairs of socks found. I contacted the host but I never received a response back. The short walk to the beach was the only positive to staying here.

Maintenance needs

There were several maintenance issues that need attention. The stairs leading to the unit had loose boards with nails protruding. There was black mold on the shower curtain and shower head. The shower drain was very slow. The shower driped continuoslyThe HVAC filter appeared to be very dirty.

Not Accurate Listing

Wish I could submit photos. Upon arrival there was a black bin with a yellow lid that said “Welcome package” that only appeared to have dirty towels in it, so we left it and the next morning it was gone. The exterior looked super dirty and not in any way up-kept. Immediately noticed there was no screen door, though all other cabanas had one. The screen over the one window was ripped nearly all the way off on the bottom edge. The toilet handle was basically ripped out of the toilet and you had to push it into the tank to actually flush. The shower curtains had either mold or soap residue on the interior, not cleaned properly. Bedding did not look washed, pillow cases looked yellowed, top blanket looked a little brown colored. Absolutely zero communication with the property manager, reached out to ask what kind of cooking supplies were available and she took forever to respond. My wife had reached out when the booking was reserved and never got a response. Reached out while we were in the cabana and never got a response. The listing itself was also very misleading by the photos posted. It says oceanfront, it is more of an ocean adjacent location. You can barely see the ocean from the top level and you definitely could not hear it at all. The interior was also much different than what was in the photos, but that’s not really any sort of big deal, but not at all what we expected. Overall, we had a very fun vacation, but the listing was very misleading.

Glamping at its finest ❤️

First time using VRBO, heard horror stories from others regarding key pad to door not working to the location left dirty. This unit was perfect. You can’t come here though expecting it to be like staying in those huge 3 plus level houses. There is no washer and dryer. This was my family’s 14th year staying at the cabana’s, we typically utilize another rental agency but theirs were all booked for our week. Was very nervous to use VRBO, but our stay and the unit was perfect! Thank so much for the extra items too. Most do not have dish soap, dish rags, towels/wash clothes, and sheets supplied, this one did!! We plan our trip like if we are going camping, nothing is guaranteed in the units.

A little disappointing

The place itself was ok. Small, but enough room to move around. They are building 2 huge houses next door, so the construction noise was very loud. Sitting on the deck wasn’t relaxing. Be prepared that there is no laundry on-site. I contacted the owner twice through VRBO and never got a response! Once was about how to get the tv to work. We figured it out, but it was a little tricky. The location is nice. You can walk out to the beach but nothing in Hatteras is walkable. We probably won’t stay here again.

Quaint & Quiet

The place was perfect for me! I definitely enjoyed myself, I thought it would be right on beach but location was perfect for a quick stroll! I did have an issue getting in, the instructions given was off but I figured it out after a few tries! Place looks better than picture with new paint job, new sofa, kitchen was perfect and had everything I needed to cook while I was there. Recommendations: fix the lock on door, have to hold the door closed a certain amount to get the lock to engage, the door has rust on it didn’t want to touch it! Also the bathroom blind has rust on it, should probably change that. I also had to sweep and mop when I first got there because there was a ton of sand on the floors. Purchased a bathmat and left in shower because it needed one!!

Very disappointed

Owner wouldn’t communicate and day of check in didn’t even know unit number! Then codes given wouldn’t work! Finally Michael called me and we got in. The place needs major renovations! We had to remove ac filter because it was so dirty-air wouldn’t circulate. Ran out of hot water every day! Proximity to beach is fabulous!

Property Management Company is a bust

Vacasa, We called and never received a return call even though you told us we were very important to you as we were on hold. I have stayed at several VRBO places and NEVER have I stayed at one where it lets you know what is supplied and you arrive to find it is not. The screen on the slider and the window need repair. There are nails and screws on the stairs that are dangerous. There is exactly one teaspoon available. We were left dishwashing detergent but still cannot find the dishwasher. There is no screen door. Towel rack on back of bathroom door needs repair as it keeps falling off. The hose on ground floor is great BUT no nozzle to turn it on. Toiletries supplied were listed but that was not true. Not one extra trash bag or tin foil or plastic bags NOT even a salt and pepper shaker. How does one use the oven WITHOUT a pot holder holder. Don’t even know if there is a working smoke detector which is against the law. Vacasa is a property management company how about managing instead of just collecting your fee.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT COMPANY

Code did not work at check in, took over an hour and a half to get in get house. Vacasa was no assistance. No towels as stated. Linens were dirty. Was told would have clean linens and towels on day two, none received, had to buy our own blankets. Work Never tent from vacasa again. Will be requesting a refund.

Nice Stay

We were there for 2 nights. Perfect for 2 , was very clean and well managed. Easy to get to . Convenient location and just a few yards to the beach ! We would recommend if you are looking for something close to the beach and cozy .

NOT oceanfront - NOT clean - NO communication with owner - NO clean sheets - NOT cleaned on arrival

We tried to call the owner the day before our arrival to find out how to enter the unit as we were on the road and unable to access our emails - ABSOLUTELY no response - we have still (five days later) not heard anything - we finally figured out by ourselves how to get in - only to find that the unit had not been cleaned - sheets balled up on the bed, nothing cleaned - we cleaned it ourselves and called the cleaning agency (who left an envelope for us to tip them) and asked about the sheets, etc. - they explained tht the owner never tells them about arriving guests and they would send someone over to clean and bring sheets, etc - we cleaned the unit ourselves - and the nice lady did come later that evening with clean sheets and some supplies - the unit is very small - no place to put anything - needs deep cleaning - dust balls, soot on the ceiling - bathroom screen is warped - bathroom shelf is held up by thumbtacks and cardboard - stove burners are crooked and caked so its unusable - there is not a table on the porch and you cannot see the ocean from the unit - only other units - we left two days early because it was untenable. Will not return.

The rental was not what it was pictured to be.

I have struggled with whether or not I should send this review for a long time... but I finally decided the vrbo site should know what we encountered, because now I have decided that I can no longer trust your site to show me what I will truly encounter when I get to my rental. I have used this site before and had excellent rentals, and had only one other bad experience, but this bad experience has truly turned me against giving vrbo another chance. The rental was not what was pictured on the site, and was disgustingly dirty...not just dirty, but filthy !!!! The owner said that vrbo had approved a rental just before us that she missed, so she didn't contact the cleaning company to clean before we got there. However, the condition of the rental showed terrible neglect, because there had been no 'real' cleaning of the unit for probably many months. The condition of the rental was horrible. The air vent was completely covered with dirt, the ceiling fan had at least an inch of dirt on the blades, and there was even dirt on the ceiling above the fan. The windowsills were covered with dirt and cobwebs, and the couch was filthy ... I would not sit on it! The drawers were filled with sand and dirt, and the floor was filthy... I had to clean out the drawers to be able to use them, and sweep the floor just to be able to walk on it. The site showed a table and chairs on the porch ... I liked the idea of eating outside because it was such a small unit, but there was no table and chairs ! It was very apparent that dishes, silverware, etc was not cleaned so I washed every single thing before I used it... no dishwasher... and much to my dismay, we killed a big bug crawling in the utensil drawer. The sheets were not fresh... yukk... and just seeing all the dirt on everything made me very uncomfortable the entire trip. When I contacted the owner after I got home, she told me I should have called her upon my arrival, that she could have sent someone to clean it... but my thought was obviously no one cared if it was clean or it wouldn't have been in such condition. I cleaned things while I was there, and believe me, the entire place was much better when we left than it was when we arrived. But I did not clean the air vent, or the tall windowsills, and I would be willing to bet if I walked into that place today, it would still be in the same horrible condition. I was very disappointed and have decided that I will no longer use vrbo for our vacation rentals.

Somethings to know

It was beautiful property. I did think it was a little closer to the beach. A few things were broken, so i took pictures and tried to email the property owner, as asked a few questions and she never got back to me!! (That was frustrating). Our water pipes did freeze, it would have been nice for a heads up to let the water drip!! As a heads up also, when the wind blows hard the whole cabana will move, it was freaky at first but you get use to it.

Comfortable Cottage for 2

Overall for the price we paid and the location I can't complain much; for more than just 2 people it's too small for sure though. It has a sofa bed but the space is really too small to actually use that. The ad said there was a smart TV but no remote to access those functions of the TV, let the property manager know about this. We also had some minor inconveniences in our stay that they told us they'd resolve. Otherwise, trip was great.

Very good location. We had to cancel our reservation due to hurricane Ian but couldn’t get return of payment as date had passed for that but owner was gracious enough to let you reschedual for a later date. Unit was small but laid out well and comfortable and a very reasonable price. Had a crowd nest above with chairs and good view of ocean. Would stay there if we went back to same area

OMG, we might have lost our minds, but this is our second little unit in this complex. We bought our first one, The Lost Shaker of Salt in 2007, purchased this second unit, One Particular Harbor in 2013. We got married up the road in Kill Devil Hills and One Particular Harbor by Jimmy Buffett was our wedding song. We are big Buffett fans and belong to the local Parrothead Club. Hatteras holds a very special place in our hearts. It is hard not to love it there. It is so beautiful, and so relaxing. It is like stepping back in time to a very friendly town like Mayberry, situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in our country.

With our first unit we were going for a fun in the sun, beach vacation. Jimmy would probably say we are “Growing Older, But Not Up.” For this second unit, we were going for the Margaritaville theme, done in a very stylish Tommy Bahama look. We think we accomplished that at One Particular Harbor. Come check us out, we know you will be pleased!
