Erholsamer Urlaub in Looe

Das Appartment ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Blick vom Esstisch auf Meer, Strand und Ort ist großartig. Das Städtchen Looe, sowie seine nähere und weitere Umgebung sind sehenswert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Super stay!

We have stopped in several different apartments in Looe over the years and without doubt Downderry at Westcliff has been the best. It was very clean and well resourced. The owner has made sure that there is everything you may need to have an enjoyable stay. The beds were very comfortable. The views from the front are beautiful. What a treat in the morning to eat breakfast and drink in the wonderful vistas. It has its own parking too which is quite a rarity in Looe. We would highly recommended Westcliff and would love to stay here again.

Very nice appartment with fantastic view

We had a wonderful stay in this perfect equipped appartment. The view over sea, beach and town from the large windows was fantastic. Before arriving we got a lot of very useful information from our host and problems with the smoke detector fixed Jason immediately. And Looe is very cosy too, we loved the little shops and cafés, the beach and the coastal path.

Superb apartment in lovely location

Perfect starting point for exploring Cornwall by car. The apartment offers abundance of space and comfort, its fully supplied with appliances for any occasion. Very clean, fantastic views, very quiet location. Would love to visit Looe again and to stay here again!

We stayed for 1 week in this perfect appartment. We arrived when it was already dark and woke up in an amazing kind of postcard. Stunning views !! Everything you could think of was there <3 Forever in love with Looe !!!

Liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit grandiosem Ausblick auf die Küste

Eine tolle Wohnung, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr sauber und mit guter Ausstattung der Küche. Durch insgesamt 9 Infobriefe des Vermieters waren wir bestens vorbereitet auf unsere Woche in Cornwell und haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Man kann direkt von der Wohnung aus zu mehreren Wanderungen aufbrechen, teilweise sind wir mit Bus bzw Bahn zu den jeweiligen Ausgangspunkten gefahren.

Sehr schöne, saubere und perfekt gelegene Wohnung. Gute Ausgangslage, um Looe und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Viele gute Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Strand sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Wohnung liegt ruhig und bietet einen traumhaften Blick auf das Wasser. Die Ausstattung ist überdurchschnittlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tolle Ferienwohnung!!

Die Lage der Wohnung ist fantastisch. Überragender Blick direkt auf Flussmündung und Strand. Ausstattungsmässig gibt es bei der Wohnung nichts zu beanstanden. Sehr geschmackvoll und komplett eingerichtet. Guter Ort zum entspannen und zum Start für die Erkundung der umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten. Dank der vom Vermieter an uns übersandten Informationen kamen vor Ort keine Probleme auf. Auch die Erkundungstipps waren eine Hilfe. Unterm Strich absolut empfehlenswertes Feriendomizil!!

Wonderful view of Looe bay.

The property was very clean and well laid out. The kitchen had everything that one could possible need. The Beds were very comfortable, all in all very cosy. We were warned about the steps... Yes you need to be fit, my wife and I are relatively fit but still found them quite strenuous. We hired a car and during our two week stay used it only twice to visit Liskeard and the Eden Project. We got a parking fine of 25 pounds in Liskeard; I bought a parking ticket for 4 pounds just to make sure were covered but unfortunately it fell from the dash on to the seat, I could see it from outside the car.... ....Pity the parking attendant didn't . We were warned from the owner about this and heard from a few of the locals about their plight with the private Parking firms. I paid the fine at the post office in looe and the very nice lady there was more upset than I. Still I didn't let that spoil the holiday we spent lovely days down in Looe centre and on the Bay. We ate in the Pubs and had some lovely meals in the restaurants. The people of Looe are very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We took the number 72 bus which stops just around the corner at the Point and traveled to Plymouth, it's a bit of a journey and took over an hour and a half, The bus takes the long way round to pick up and drop off holiday makers at different caravan sites. But it was very nice to see the countryside. I lived in Plymouth as a child for six months, so it was nice to go back for a visit. The Hoe in Plymouth is worth the visit and the shopping centre really nice. Another bus, again from the point took us to Polperro we spent a wonderful holiday there a few years ago and stay right on the harbour at the old Harbour Masters house, it was lovely to go back, Polperro is definitely worth a day out. As I say the property was beyond reproach and the view was splendid. At Hannafore Point, there are some lovely little beaches and rocky inlets, we spent a few hours just sitting and watching the boats come in and out of Looe. it would have been nice to have couple of camping chairs and a sun shade for that. I did consider buying some but we could not have taken them back to Germany, it would have been a waste of forty or fifty pounds. My Wife and I rarely go back to the same place twice and to be honest the steps were just a little too much for us. Having said that we had a lovely time. and would like to thank the Owner for his guidance and advice, and for such a nice holiday.

A lovely appartment

What a view from both main bedroom and living room. All that we needed in the way of cooking items etc. Loved the arm chairs for the rainy days in front of the TV watching some of the DVDs that are there, also lots of books for the book worms. Looe itself has not changed much since our last trip 27 years ago. Great place for the beach, walking, boat trips and as it is a fishing port a Great place for fishing boat trips if you have good sea legs. Going to Cornwall would not be Cornwall with out a cream tea. Martins the bakeries just over looe bridge in east looe does lovely fruit scones to eat in or take back to the apartment to make your own cream tea with that view WOW. Thank you Rolf for letting us stay in your wonderful apartment.

Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt

Diese Ferienwohnung ist noch schöner, als die Fotos es andeuten. Wir mußten auf wirklich nichts verzichten - wohl aber auf das Superwetter. Umso mehr war diese Traumwohnung ein Ausgleich für die Regenzeit: Der direkte Blick auf den Hafen von Looe hat einfach Spaß gemacht. Von diesem Ausblick ist man fasziniert, wenn man den verschiedenen Wettern zusehen kann. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung hat mit dem, was man in England Hotelkomfort nennt, rein gar nichts gemein, zum Glück. Hier stimmt einfach alles.

Tolle Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr schön. Tadellos sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Meine Schwester und ich haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und vor allem bei den Mahlzeiten die herrliche Aussicht auf Looe, Strand und Meer genossen. Besonders lobenswert waren die hilfreichen und netten Informationen, die Fam. Elsholz schon einige Zeit vor der Reise hat zukommen lassen. Diese Wohnung kann ich jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Kleiner Wermutstropfen sind die hohen, unregelmässigen Treppenstufen zum Parkplatz! Also sollte Mann/Frau gut zu Fuß sein, wenn er/sie sich für diese Wohnung entscheidet.

Schön gelegene, wirklich gut ausgestattete Wohnung

Wir haben die Woche in der schön gelegenen und überaus vollständig ausgestattete Wohnung (prima Betten!) mit ihrem weiten Blick über Hafen und Küste sehr genossen, für die Fitness sorgten 60 Stufen vom Haus zum Parkplatz. Sehr hilfreich waren die vorher zugesandte sehr umfassende Infos zu Anreise, Wohnung und Umgebung. Jürgen K.

Nette Ferienwohnung mit tollem Ausblick

Die Ferienwohnung hat einen supertollen Ausblick auf den Hafen und den Strand sowie die Umgebung von Looe. Die Zimmer sind freundlich ausgestattet, die Küche ist modern und funktional. Man kann sich in der Wohnung und dem Ort richtig wohlfühlen.

Gemütliche Wohnung mit einer phantastischen Aussicht!

Wir können uns den bisherigen sehr guten Bewertungen nur anschließen: die Wohnung ist ein kleines Schmuckstück und besonders die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Vermieter ist überaus freundlich und hat die Wohnung bestens beschrieben, mit allen Vorzügen und auch den etwas kritischeren Aspekten, wie z.B. die Erreichbarkeit vom Parkplatz aus über höhere Stufen. Das nicht vorhandene Internet wird ebenfalls erwähnt, es gibt aber die Möglichkeit in der Touristeninformation eine halbe Stunde für 1,50 Pfund den Computer zu benutzen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die bequemen Betten und die vielen Info-Briefe im Vorfeld. So ausführlich wurden wir bisher noch nie informiert und das wird wohl auch einmalig sein. Vielen Dank nochmals, dadurch haben wir uns problemlos zurecht gefunden. Aber das Beste ist die Aussicht, die ist umwerfend, das hatten wir nicht erwartet! Wir hätten stundenlang sitzen und beobachten können, gäbe es nicht noch so viel anderes zu entdecken. Da waren die vielen Tipps und Wandervorschläge sehr hilfreich! Zum Eingewöhnen ein sehr schöner Spaziergang: hinter dem Killigarth Manor Holiday Park (es gibt ein paar kostenlose! Parkmöglichkeiten) den kurzen Feldweg bis auf den Coast Path laufen, dann auf Polperro zugehen mit schönen Blicken auf den Ort, einen Bummel/Pause anschließen und wieder zurück. Zur Anreise: es ist verlockend den Flughafen Newquay zu wählen, da die Anfahrt nach Looe in ca. einer Stunde machbar ist und von Düsseldorf aus können wir es nur empfehlen. Von Hamburg ist es komplizierter: Zwischenstopp in Düsseldorf von ca. zwei Stunden, also durchaus in Ordnung. Rückflug aber über Düsseldorf und München und das kostet nicht nur viel Zeit, sondern da in Newquay nur manuell abgefertigt wird, muss man aufgegebenes Gepäck in Düsseldorf abholen und nochmals durch die Sicherheitskontrolle, auch Nerven. Da erscheint uns die Anfahrt über Bristol oder London für das nächste Mal günstiger. Die schöne Wohnung hat erheblich dazu beigetragen, dass es ein gelungener Urlaub war, eine klare Empfehlung, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, vielen Dank!

Eine Wohnung zum Wohlfühlen mit super Aussicht!

Dank der ungewöhnlich guten Vorbereitung durch den Eigentümer Herrn Elsholz (Anreisebeschreibung und sehr ausführliche Ausflugstipps) fanden wir uns in Looe und Südengland bestens zurecht. Die Ferienwohnung über 2 Etagen ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Ich kenne schon einige englische Badezimmer und kann daher sagen, dass dieses sehr gut ist, besonders die Dusche. An das kleine Waschbecken gewöhnt man sich schnell. Die Betten sind sehr gut. In Looe ist immer etwas los und es gibt viel zu sehen. Die Küsten-Wanderwege sind ein Traum. Allerdings sollte man gut zu Fuß sein. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gewühlt und gut erholt.
