Great house 10 mins to Heavenly

We had a nice vacation skiing in Heavenly. The house suited well for 8 people. I like that both bathrooms are accessible from the common space and not attached to the master bedroom. There are a big table and a cozy fireplace upstairs. Minor things: there was no hairdryer (management promised to fix) - we used a fireplace fan; only one extra toilet paper roll for two bathrooms with started rolls inside (safeway is 7 mins drive).

Great Place for the Price

Property manager was very accommodating with early check in and late checkout. The house was tidy and was perfect for our weekend trip!

Not worth the price

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was a big let down. It was not clean, the bed linens and bath towels were mildew smelling-I had to wash them before use. The beds were at least 20 years old, there were no mattress covers on them, you could feel the springs when lying on them. The blankets were soiled and dirty-I washed them as well. The pillows had no zippered covers on them. At least if you are not going to replace the mattresses foam toppers should be put on them. There was not enough toilet paper for 2 days/6people. The bear-proof trash receptacle was full so we were not able to deposit all of our trash in it upon check out. The carpet was dirty and didn't look to be vacuumed before our stay. There was debris and dead spiders in the washing machine agitator (the top was missing so things could crawl in), the walls were dusty and had spiders in the corners of the rooms. The upstairs bathtub was slow draining. The doorknob on the front door was loose, not secure. Since the inception of VRBO/Airbnb this was the worst VRBO we stayed at and for the price, was definitely not worth it.

Good location. Property is ok. Needs updating and better attention to upkeep. Items were dusty, sticky and smelly. Furniture is very rundown for the most part. It was just ok.

Birthday getaway

This was such a beautiful place to stay to celebrate my birthday and watch the kids play together. We had 3 family's of 4 and it did not feel crowded at all. It was close to everything we needed. The house had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful and memorable.

Michelle was cery responsive and attentive and Mae sure we had what we needed. Lots of space for our two families.

Beautiful, spacious house.

Snowboarding weekend

We stayed in this house during the weekend (10 people). The house is beautiful and big. Enough space for everyone. The location is very convenient, ~10 mins driving to the California Lodge.

Looked like a cute bachelor pad.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property has a great location about 15 mins. from the strip. The place was pretty clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The deck was large and spacious, but they should add more outdoor furniture so that it’s not just a large deck with nothing on it. The fridge barely stayed cold enough to keep our food in. We tried to open the fridge the most minimal amount of times possible. The furniture was like they picked everything up from a garage sale down the street and was in poor condition. Master bed was the only bed in the house that was comfortable to sleep on. I think my biggest complaint is that there were NOT enough fans provided for how hot the upstairs gets. You almost have to have all windows open at all times to not die of heat up there. Personally it reminded me of someone’s cute/old Bach pad. If you are looking for a place to just crash and not enjoy the amenities than this is the place for you! Also, this was not the original house we rented. I got stuck with this one a few months before my trip because the original house I rented was under construction and not ready in time...

Couches are super old, dirty, and almost breaking apart. I wouldn’t recommend this property at all.

Great Home but a few problems.

We had a great stay. However, when we walked in the entire house smelled like the soap provided to wash your hands. Also, there was cobwebs in most corners of the home. We cleaned some, but not all. We also had to rewash the dishes in the dishwasher machine because they were still dirty.

Not the best

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, the location was great, and the size of the property fit 10 adults comfortably. The staff was very professional, and, when booking, they had a very quick response time. However, the property itself was a little run down, which wouldn't be an issue if things were clean. When we arrived there was food splattered on the walls in the lithe , the floors weren't clean, and there was an awful stench coming from the downstairs bathroom that smelled as if something was decaying. We tried to air it out by keeping the window open and the fan on, but to no avail. It only got worse. When we pulled out the sleeper sofa, we couldn't find sheets. The place advertised that it sleeps 12 with a sleeper sofa, and claimed linens were provided. There was also a leak in the freezer that caused a puddle to form in the refrigerator. At first we thought it was condensation from our food and drinks, but when we were cleaning up we saw it was the freezer. I contacted the property management company to explain the issues and still haven't heard back. To be fair, it was Labor Day Weekend. However, I assume that is a busy time for rental property management companies, and figured I would get some sort of response within a week. When I called the number, someone answered, and they were very helpful. Unless this place is thoroughly cleaned, I wouldn't recommend the property.
