Gem in Assebroek/Brugge!

This house is a great place for a family or a group of adults to enjoy the beautiful area of Assebroek/ Brugge. It is conveniently located, comfortable, and most importantly very clean. The hostess Brigitte was fantastic. Check in was a breeze. We needed assistance with a few little matters & she was very accommodating & helpful..We appreciated her very much. To sum up… this is a wonderful house to book if you are headed to this area of Belgium & Brigitte is a very attentive hostess. We were very pleased! Corrie

Charming and Cozy

Brigitte has a charming home that served as a good base for our time in Bruges. The neighborhood is quiet and the bakery just around the corner is phenomenal (and so inexpensive). Brigitte was very communicative and made the extra effort to let us know about things we could do that we might have otherwise missed, likely the monthly flea market in town. That was a nice touch. One thing to note is that the home next door is being completely renovated, so the construction noise on weekdays started pretty early. Fortunately, we generally were out of the home by 9:00 and back after working hours, so weren't too disturbed by it, but if others were planning on hanging out more in the house, that would be good to be aware of.

Très bien située à un plus d'un km du centre de Bruges, la maison nous a permis d'allier marche à pied et de très belles visites.

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Brügge

Das Ferienhaus war komplett eingerichtet. Der Kontakt mit Brigitte war unkompliziert und freundlich. Das Haus liegt sehr zentral - in 10 Minuten Fußweg ist man im Zentrum von Brügge. Trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig. Ein großer Supermarkt liegt direkt um die Ecke.

A lovely place to stay, close to the centre of Bruges

The house is lovely, with a bit of a canal boat vibe. I mean that in the nicest possible way, in that it was really cosy, with all the amenities you might need, including a close by Carrefour. We would definitely stay again.

Nice days in Brügge despite the weather

Our holiday in Brügge was nice, the house is spacious and has everything you need. The garden has lot of flowers and enough space for a relaxing stay. When it rains on daytime it feels like beeing out when you are in the kitchen because there is a large roof window. Plenty of tourist information and books as inspiration for the stay. Looking around in the house, one feels that the host really cares about her guests, regardless their age. Lovely surroundings for walks to down town.

Lovely property

The property is larger than I expected, well furnished, clean and spacious with a lovely garden. The only thing to be aware of is that the stairs, especially to the second floor are very steep and small so might be a concern for some people when carrying bags up. Brigitte was very helpful and checked that everything was ok while we there. It is a pleasant 20 minute walk into the center of Bruges or there are buses if you want to save your energy for the sight seeing. A Carefor supermarket is 3 mins walk away which is really handy. Everything considered we loved this place.

Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft

Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, in der Nähe der Bushaltestellen, einem Bäcker und einem Supermarkt. Zum Zentrum von Brügge geht man zu Fuß 20 Minuten oder fährt mit einem Bus, der häufig kommt. Auch zum Bahnhof fährt man gut. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es liegen viele nützliche Infomaterialien zu Brügge und der Umgebung bereit. Die Küche ist mit allem Notwendigen gut ausgestattet und geräumig. Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls gut eingerichtet. Alles bestens! Die Treppen im Haus sind sehr steil, das kann für ältere Menschen wichtig zu wissen sein.

Great for anyone who want to visit Brugge, clean accommodating and very fast feel at home.

The location is perfect for anyone visiting the town of Brugge, within 20 minutes walk from the center of town. Within about 10 minutes you have an ATM (bank), grocery store, fish market, butcher, and a couple of bakeries. Easy parking (if you are good at parallel parking) in the street. The house was very nice and Brigitte went to great length explaining how everything was functioning, I should have paid more attention and got confused with the color of garbage bags! For those who like cats we had the visit of two very friendly calicos. I would warn people with physical disabilities that the stairs toward the upper floor are fairly steep specially it you have to carry anything, such as luggage. I am 67 and managed well. We had a schedule change with the airline and had to leave a day early, also I became ill and my wife called Brigitte who offered to drive my daughter to the other side of Brugge and found an open pharmacy on a weekend. This kind of help is greatly appreciated. We have used VRBO in the US and now Europe and every time it has met or surpassed our expectations.

Family break in Bruges

The house was lovely it had every thing we needed for a family of four. Plenty of space and comfortable furniture, all the equipment we needed, lovely garden to eat in. Cycle paths into the centre of Bruges making it quick and easy to get around. Brigitte extremely helpful visited when we arrived and gave us information on restaurants and places to visit. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely property within easy walking distance of Bruges centre

This property is much larger than it looks from the outside. Lounge/diner with some beautiful period features and TV leading through to a modern kitchen with breakfast table, microwave, dishwasher, electric hob, oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Everything you need! Instant hot water tap for the sink too. Leading through to a decent bathroom with overbath shower, basin and toilet. To the rear is a pleasant garden which certainly catches the sun. The first floor has a double and triple bedroom and the top floor contains another bedroom, separate toilet and a bathroom. Free parking outside and some really good restaurants a couple of minutes walk away as well as a good size supermarket. 20 minutes casual walk to the centre of Bruges - 10 minutes at a semi brisk pace so really close by. We really enjoyed our stay - locals are really friendly too. The only thing I would say is the stairs to the top floor are fairly steep so not for the infirm, however our 19 year old was up and down without any problem. So - would I stay here again? Yes, without hesitation. Brigitte is a great host and even puts a few essentials in the fridge on your arrival for you which you can either buy at a modest price or replace. Great touch. The all essential WiFi was a hit for the kids too! Book it - you'll enjoy your stay 😁

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Ferienhaus mit guter Ausstattung und hübschen, kleinen Garten. Netter Kontakt, ruhige Lage, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt, Nachtshop, Bäckerei) in unmittelbarer Nähe. Restaurants, Imbisse, Geldautomaten im unmittelbaren Umfeld. Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe in ausreichendem Maß vorhanden. Ca. 20 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, jedoch auch zu Fuß gut erreichbar.

Could not have been any easier.

This is a fantastic place to stay when in Bruges. We had our family here for a weekend in Bruges and could not have been easier or more pleasant. Everything is laid out perfectly. We arrived quite late but everything was ready for us. The location is perfect. We walked our three kids in the historic town centre easily and spent a day there then back out. We also saw the bus you could take us into town and this would have been no hassle at all. Good parking options. And a great little bakery 100 meters away. The host even had some cold beers you can purchase very affordably in the fridge for when we came back from the walk :) Cannot fault it, the amenities, service and location would make us use it again any time we are Bruges.

Lovely house, close to the centre of Brugge, everything we needed

The house was great, we were 6 adults and a baby and all had enough space. It’s in a super location just 10 minutes walk to the old town, but with a bakery, large supermarket and restaurants really close too. It was warm, comfy beds and the owner was very communicative before our stay and available when we checked in for questions. Highly recommended.

Schön war es! Einfach aber sauber und alles vorhanden was man braucht für eine Städtetour.

Wir waren mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern nach Brügge aufgebrochen. Da unser Barcelona-aufenthalt wegen Unruhen kurzfristig abgesagt wurde bemühten wir uns kurzfristig ( 2Std. am Vorabend) um eine Unterkunft. Die Kontaktaufnahme war hervorragend und die Unterkunft ansprechend. Zur Stadtmitte brauchten wir 20 Minuten zu Fuß. Ein schöner Spaziergang. Alles in Ordnung. Es war sehr schön. Danke.

Casa muy acogedora

Hemos estado una semana en Brujas en casa de Brigitte y muy bien. Nos ha atendido correctamente. La planta baja es muy amplia, la cocina moderna y bien equipada. La casa está a 10' del centro de Brujas, un paseo, en un barrio muy seguro y agradable. Recomiendo la estancia en esta casa. Gracias por todo Brigitte. Catalonia (Spain)

The property was clean and tidy with a great modern kitchen and dining area. Great location.

The property is in a great local area and only 15 minutes walk from Bruges, so yes you really do live like a local. There are 4 restaurants and an Intermarche within 2 minutes walk of the property, the Indian Restaurant we can highly recommend. We hardly moved our car during our stay apart from a visit to Passiondale and De Haan. The property has a great living dining kitchen with atrium and is well equipped. Bathroom off the kitchen a little embarrassing, good job we were with family !!, the other shower room being on the top floor, the stairs were so steep to this bedroom and bathroom that only our younger family used this floor. Garden really nice with dining table and chairs ( a barbeque would have been nice). The whole area felt very safe and all in all we really enjoyed our holiday and stay at the property.
