Great location, great interior, construction diminished our experience, Vrbo was no help.
Everything was perfect up until arriving at the rental. Olga arranged a taxi from el estación de Sants for us and that worked out great.
But when we arrived we discovered construction scaffolding covered the front of the building and obstructed our views (and thereafter we periodically saw workers outside our windows). The construction was not disclosed to us prior to arrival so came a quite a surprise. We were able to get a small discount but, IMO, not enough to cover the downgraded experience. I reached out to Vrbo for help but they were of no use. So much for their “guarantee” that you’ll get what you expect.
All that said, the interior of the flat is all brand new and it was a very pleasant space to live in. The windows are sound proofed and overall very quiet apt. The entry way is grand! Location hard to beat. Two fantastic restaurants and two pastry/coffee shops only steps from the door. There is a Scotch and Soda clothing store on the ground floor of the Bldg. I’d stay again once the construction is complete but not before.
Two last nits: provided supplies were a bit thin for a stay of our length, eg soap for only two loads of laundry; also golly forbid you’d ever have to exit quickly at night with no power/lights because there are two sets of locked doors between you and stairs that can only be opened / unlocked with two different keys. Good luck I’m the dark in a hurry! Then again, maybe that’s what the construction scaffolding is for, quick exit ;)
