Ce chalet confortable est situé sur une petite colline surplombant le lac Flathead et la ville de Somers. Les deux chambres spacieuses jouxtent la salle de bains. Il ya un grand salon, une petite mais efficace cuisine entièrement équipée, et une salle de jeu séparée avec des livres, des puzzles et des cartes pour les jours pluvieux. T. V. et Internet sont fournis. Grands espaces extérieurs sur les deux côtés de la maison de choisir soleil ou l'ombre. La plate-forme offre des vues spectaculaires sur les montagnes de cygne et la mission à l'est, le lac Flathead et Somers au sud tandis que la terrasse est un endroit calme ombragé pour se détendre et profiter d'un calme tasse de café. Il ya un barbecue au charbon de bois et une table de pique-nique sur la terrasse, pratique pour la cuisine, et le pont a des chaises et vue sur le lac pour profiter des couchers de soleil.

41st Anniversary vacation

This place is a little piece of heaven! The views from the back deck were phenomenal! Tim was a wonderful host. Just about everything you needed was provided, including 2 bottles of wine & a gift certificate for the local diner. We will be back!

Great Stay

House is really nice on the inside and is being improved on the outside. The view is outstanding. Gift certificate to a local cafe that was absolutely delicious. Tim thought of everything in putting this place together.

Although we were not able to stay at Tim’s property due to a wind storm, Tim was upfront and easy to work with about everything and we would consider staying with him again.

Great Experience and House

Property was great and VERY accommodating! The gift certificate was such a nice surprise and the diner was awesome. The driveway has a very tight switchback for a crew cab/8ft bed truck. I'm sure a smaller/shorter vehicle wouldn't too bad Overall it was wonderful and would rent again!

Very nice little place. Courteous host and very responsive, Perfect for a small family. Vintage art and a great view. Will def stay again if we come back to Somers.

Beautiful house in somers

Great house to relax in. Kitchen is well stocked. Very clean. Lots of seating areas. If you drive a really nice vehicle. Be aware the lane is fairly narrow with tree branches. They will scrape the sides of a full size vehicle pickup Suburban ECT.

Overall very nice place. Very clean and tidy. Terrific views of the lake!!!!

House has a lot of charm and is quite comfortable. Location of the property is perfect! House could use a bbq and a hide-a-bed pull out of some kind. Would definitely come and stay again.

Lakeview Home

This home was perfect for our visit to Glacier National Park. Close to hiking and biking, shops and restaurants. It was in the right spot for us to get where ever we were headed for the day. It has the amenities needed, a great view of Flathead Lake, and a lovely patio to enjoy the view. Host provided lots of information about the area and was available if needed. It is a great place to stay.

Wonderful Property!

We had a great stay! Host was very informative and responsive. Lots of special touches like info for things to do in the area, wine, and a gift certificate for a local resturant. Very clean and my 13 year old daughter loved the books in the TV room! The views were even better than the pictures. We would stay here again for sure.

Great lake view

We enjoyed our time at this property, especially sitting on the deck and enjoying the lake view. There is traffic noise but the view is worth it. We loved exploring Somers on our daily walks, and everyone we met was so friendly. The driveway is definitely steep but turned into a daily workout for us.

Texas Heat Getaway

The cottage is centrally ideal for all the activities we were wanting to do. We visited Glacier National Road to the sun, Hungry Horse National Forest a true treat, rented a boat on Flathead lake and various golf courses. This is our second time choosing this cottage. It is perfect to come back from a full day of activities and sit on the back porch and view the incredible sunsets! Their beds are comfortable and the cottage has been very clean each time we have visited.

Breathtaking Views

Crimecam 24/7 We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. We found it to be larger than we thought and the deck with sweeping views of the valley and the lake were amazing!!! The beds were super comfy and having so much info on local activities and history was a benefit. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed — even coffee K cups and also a surprise of 2 great bottles of wine and gift card for the delicious Somers Bay Cafe. We did have the challenge of the road coming up but after a couple times I mastered it and we’d definitely come back. Communication with Tim was great and our family will now have awesome memories of playing games on the deck over looking the sunset on the lake. Thanks!!!

Beautiful Views

Before booking this property for our trip, I had read through all the previous reviews. Those reviews were accurate, and we are glad that we chose this house. It is quite spacious, much larger than we expected. We rarely even set foot in two of the rooms, the large TV room and the second bedroom. What we liked best was the view from the big deck of the Somers area, Flathead Lake and the mountains behind the lake. It is spectacular. The drive up the rocky, pot-holed road to the house is true. We had rented a 4 WD jeep, and we needed it. We didn’t mind the road, it was part of the ambiance of the house. It’s quite isolated with only one neighbor using that same road. The house itself is extremely well stocked with everything you will need plus more. We never cooked but there were tons of dishes, silverware, glasses, pots and pans. Keurig, a dishwasher, too! There’s a hall closet with supplies like paper towels, toilet paper. Two cans of bear spray which we carried with us but fortunately, never used. Bug spray and sunscreen. The shower is good with plenty of hot water. We did use the Maytag washer and dryer several times. There’s even a desk that serves as a vanity in the separate room with the washer/dryer. There are windows everywhere. There is air conditioning and several portable fans which we did use. My only wish was for memory foam bed pillows, but that’s a personal preference. Tim was very responsive to any questions. We were very happy staying there.

My husband and I came to Montana to visit our daughter. The 3 of us really enjoyed the convenience

The property was wonderful, cozy and clean. And, Mr. Light was a gracious host! We greatly enjoyed our breakfast at the Somer’s Bay cafe! Our nightcap at Del’s Bar. The views from the deck are breathtaking. Fantastic property in a gorgeous part of our nation.

Perfect spot to visit Glacier NP and surrounding area

Wow, we just loved this place. Clean, cozy, feels like home away from home. Lovely view from the deck, loved all the windows. Puzzles, books, and games to play. Comfy beds, cold AC, fans in bedroom as well. Hot shower, everything works great in the kitchen. Myself, my husband, mom and my 4 year old were all very happy we chose to stay here. There’s bear spray and bug spray near the door, and we were able to do all our laundry there as well. We would absolutely stay here again if we are back in the area! Thank you to the hosts for all the thoughtful details!

Flathead Lake

The property is just as advertised. The location was perfect. We golfed in Polson, Whitefish and Buffalo Hills. We took the Road to the Sun in Glacier park two days. One day we hiked Avalanche Trial in Glacier. We went on a fishing excursion and the next day rented a boat to just enjoy the lake. The best part was being to come back to the home each evening and still close out the night to a amazing sunset views! Communication was great with Tim. He was always quick to respond. Again a great location and a wonderful experience.

Starts with the view and then some

When my husband & I first arrived, we immediately grabbed a couple beers & sat on the deck enjoying the view of the lake & mountains. Timothy was so thoughtful of providing a gift certificate to Somers Cafe & 2 bottles of wine. The property was very clean, spacious, & comfy. The bed was very comfortable. All the necessities provided & then some. Convenient location. We wanted a place that was quiet & relaxing - this fit. Even had a visit from a doe one afternoon. She came right up to the deck. These were very nice accommodations.

Relaxing and comfortable stay near Flathead Lake

My wife and I stayed in Tim's cottage for about a week during September of 2021. We found the information in the listing all accurate (the only exception being that they had evidently changed the type of coffeemaker in the home recently, so we had brought the wrong kind of coffee with us). Responsive communication from the host in advance of our stay. There were wildfires in the area much of our stay; the host provided an air purifier in the main living area to help with the smoke, and that was much appreciated. The king bed in the larger bedroom was quite comfortable (we didn't use the second bedroom). Plumbing all worked great. There were outstanding views of the lake from the windows on that side of the house and a large lake. On the other side of the house, we looked out the bedroom window one morning to see a couple deer bedded down just outside - so, this home is recommended from multiple sources!

Best VRBO experience ever

Beautiful spacious and comfortable with lovely photos and artwork. Large den with TV. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen well stocked. Gorgeous view from deck. We felt utterly at home. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring Glacier Park. Tim is an excellent host. I can’t rave enough about this property!

Cozy

We used this cozy cottage as our home base for hiking in the Flat Head area. Then drove the hour to Glacier 2 days to enjoy the park. It was an easy hour drive for us. The kitchen is small but efficient, the beds were comfortable and the view from the back deck was nice. The walk down the driveway led to a bike trail that was nice to walk along with our 3 year old. The fact we were up higher on the hill made the location seem nicer.

We enjoy the beauty of Montana lakes from our kayaks, and the outdoors of hiking Forest Service and Park Service trails. We travel when we can, usually in the winter, but enjoy the snow with skis and snowshoes. Our home reflects our interests with simple comfort and great views.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The very private driveway can be a challenge with snow in the winter but we never tire of the view of the lake and the mountains as it changes daily, even hourly, with the sun and clouds. Morning beverage in front of the window gets my day going. And after a hard day at work, there is nothing better then coming home to the quiet of the house with the smells of the pine woods and the fresh mountain air.
