Garden Cottage - Paix, vues, bain à remous et intimité. Escapade romantique à Wimberley

Cottage calme et romantique à l'étage dans la cime des arbres avec bain à remous, lit à baldaquin avec draps somptueux et un jardin de fleurs. Asseyez-vous sur la terrasse à l'étage donnant sur la vallée de Wimberley et le jardin, faites griller des steaks et détendez-vous dans un petit morceau du Texas rien que pour vous. Puis dirigez-vous vers le spa pour observer les étoiles au-dessus de votre tête.

Lorsqu'il fait chaud, entrez et dressez des rideaux de soie à double doublure pour créer un espace de détente agréable et confortable.

À l’intérieur, vous trouverez une grande télévision connectée avec télévision terrestre, streaming (Netflix, etc.) et un lecteur DVD (une RedBox est disponible en ville pour les films) ou des livres et des jeux pour passer une nuit tranquille. Wifi gratuit. Le centre de Wimberley est à seulement 5 minutes en voiture. Austin, SXSW et le Circuit of the Americas sont à seulement 45 minutes.

Le jardin est soigneusement planté d'essences indigènes pour conserver l'eau et attirer les pollinisateurs et les papillons. Il y a aussi des parterres de légumes et vous êtes invités à vous servir de ce qui est mûr et prêt pendant votre séjour. Le chalet est construit sur un garage inutilisé qui le soulève et son pont au-dessus de la limite des arbres afin que vous puissiez voir la vue.

Cozy Cabin in the Hill Country

The location and views were perfect!! Five minutes from Wimberley and 30 minutes from Gruene…you can’t go wrong. I loved all of the windows! We saw hummingbirds, blue jays, and red cardinals. The furniture was comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Hope to visit again one day.

Perfect Couples Getaway

Walter gave perfect instructions for the secluded drive up a beautiful a hill that leads to the cottage. We were greeted with a sweet note, chilled eine, and fresh homemafe cookies. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a ling day of exploring Wimberly. The patio was so peaceful at night with the tea lights and sounds of nature as we rocked on the wicker chairs with our wine. The garden was beautiful and had lush greenery. This is the absolute perfect place for a couple's romantic getaway@

Romantic getaway

The porch with the hot tub is super private and there are cute little kitties who visit. The place is overall super cute and romantic. It is the perfect location, as it is only 10 minutes from just about everything. The only thing that we would change is the bed; it was super creaky and would wake us up everytime we tried to turn over, and the mattress was super hard/uncomfortable.

Beautiful get away

Beautiful getaway with my partner for the weekend. There was a storm coming through so we really just hung around which was fine because the house is an open floor plan. The hot tub was a nice addition and privately set off to the side. Walter was very easy and pleasant to talk with. He and his wife left us a bottle of wine and cookies which was a nice treat.

Once place

It's in a great location just 3 minutes from town and 20 minutes from San Marcos, but secluded enough. Lots of local trails, great scenery, and wildlife. My concerns are with the upkeep of the property. The interior paint is peeling from obvious water damage from a roof leak. Calcium buildup in shower. The deck is warped and cracked and not weatherproofed very well. The hot tub seemed to be leaking. There was a constant drop coming from beneath it and the wood supports under it were soaked. It needs to be on better supports, not soggy plywood.

Secluded with a view

The Garden Cottage is becoming a regular staple for us. You're up on the side of a hill with a great West facing view. There are neighbors but they're buried in the trees and you never see them. The house is nice and clean with a spacious bathroom, well appointed kitchen and a wall of floor to ceiling windows. The hot tub is maintained perfectly without any sort of chemical smell. We'll be back!

My husband and I loved this cool little get away!

It was rainy while we were there but we loved every minute of it! We needed time away from kids and jobs, this was perfect! Complete with wine and cookies that I would love the recipe to. Thank you for the perfect escape! We will be back.

Great place

We spent New Year’s Eve on the cabin. Such a great stay. Quiet, private, spacious, the hot tub is definitively a plus (tip: turn off all the lights form the house and tub for an amazing view of the stars). Very well located, 5 min away from the town. We also went to San Antonio, which is about 1 hour drive and visited several wineries in Driftwood (25 min away). Will definitely return.

Time spent here will never disappoint

Cottage Garden will win you over with it's charming electic decor, an inviting open space that eludes rustic luxury, all the comforts of home and more. Cottage Garden will entertain you with it's beautiful views of the Texas hills, perched above a grove of Cedar trees - making it feel like a tree-house, with opportunities to watch wildlife, walk among raised-bed gardens, watch dozens of Red Birds courting and Humming Birds gather nector right above your head on the covered portch, AND a Gray and Black porch kitty - sweet as can be. Remembering the days when a peacock and a 3-legged dog lived on the property. Cottage Garden/Lookout Pointe has always been my favorite place to stay in Wimberly. It still is. I have many memories there. Thank you for sharing this space again Walter.

Truly a quiet, peaceful and relaxing place.

My wife and I really enjoyed the time we spent here. The Hot Tub was very well maintained, and the views at night were fantastic! So good that we saw satellites (way high) it was so clear, and even a few rough shooting stars. The cottage is perfect, has everything we needed (we cook our meals, not eat out) and stock the refrigerator (bigger than the small frig shown in picture). No dishwasher, but there's only 2 of us so it's an easy chore, quick cleanup. AC and Heat work great. The views from the balcony were wonderful and we read our books very comfortably while relaxing out there, plus the party lights at night are very festive! It felt like a vacation should be. We'll be coming back again!!

Great Peaceful retreat

Its such a great location. It was so peaceful and quiet. It was great to set in the hot tub & star gaze. It was a nice set up & not far from town. Overall it a great place for a quiet weekend away.

Best Day

It was our first time in Wimberley and I was looking for a place to stay close to town and sunset view with a garden and I read some of the comments people put. I was the best place I could have ever imagined for our honeymoon stay very secluded seemed like being in tree house had own privacy hot tub and a garden too the owner kept in touch with giving us directions and leaving care package places to see and eat If we decided to go out. I highly recommend this place if you want peace and quiet and privacy very romantic. We even seen deer on property our trip to town was great too everyone was friendly at the shops and restaurants welcoming our stay in Wimberley Tx. That was an Amazing experience to feel welcome in a town that no one even knows you and greats you with a hello and smile . We will definitely return . Mr.& Mrs. Dunn

Perfect retreat

The Garden Cottage is a great romantic getaway. Located in a gorgeous secluded setting, the living area features windows on all four sides, all with a view of trees, which gives the feeling of being in a tree house. The deck has cool breezes and is quite comfortable even in July, which I didn't know was possible. While you sit on the deck, you can watch the hummingbirds, butterflies, and blue jays. The house is located above a flower garden, and you can see views of distant hills. There is a nice hot tub on the balcony. At night, it's totally silent and you can see all the amazing stars. The owners leave lots of helpful instructions and also a homemade treat for their guests. You feel extremely relaxed while you're there and you never want to leave

Hill Country Privacy

The cottage met our expectations and more. With great views and privacy, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The hot tub made it even better, as we were able to relax in it while over looking the garden. The big surprise was the homemade bread, peach pie, and marmalade that the owner left out for us. We will definitely be going back again!

Perfect Getaway

We had the best time at the cottage. You literally felt as though you were in a tree house. The views were breathtaking and you had complete privacy. We loved relaxing in the hot tub under the stars at night. We will definitely be back and recommend to all our family and friends.

Well maintained, secluded get away for two with an excellent view

The Garden Cottage is a very well maintained and stocked studio for two. One whole wall is floor to ceiling windows that look out into a Hill Country valley. The windows have full length, room darkening drapes that completely isolate inside from out if desired. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has lots of counter space and cabinets with a very spacious tub / shower combination with excellent water pressure. Outside is a super large deck with a sub-deck mounted hot tub that has just the right chemical balance. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils and a small 4 burner electric stove / oven that we used with no issue. The only issue we had was the very small dorm type fridge for the kitchen. When we go to the hill country, we tend to hunker down and stay in the house for the duration and this little fridge didn't quite do it for the food we brought. Not a big issue if planned ahead for and definitely not a deal breaker for the other list of positives the Garden Cottage has, just something to keep in mind. We'll definitely be back.

Definitely Worth It

The most relaxing weekend my wife and I have had in quite some time occurred at this cottage. The homemade bread and marmalade was excellent and the owners prepared a chocolate cake that was, simply put, the best chocolate cake we have ever had and that's because my wife hates chocolate cake! They have a nice binder with detailed instructions and various points of interest around Wimberley and we took up some of those suggestions. Relaxing in the hot tub and on the wide open deck makes it all definitely worth it.

Over the top awesome!

It was a perfect place to get away and enjoy the canopy of stars in the hot tub! We loved waking up to the feeling of being in a treehouse too! Every window we looked out, we were surrounded by trees, birds and nature. The homemade pie and bread were absolutely amazing too!!

Quiet yet close, non-descript but tight. Perfect get away for two.

We recommend for all, except for the weekends we want to return. Top of the hill and secluded, yet minutes away from everything. Hot tub under the stars, and great amenities. The welcoming package included homemade bread, marmalade and an apple pie. We will return.

Hi, we're Walter and Kay. We're originally from England but have lived in Texas since 2008.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We came to Wimberley on our honeymoon and stayed on Box Canyon Road. We were shown number 1070 while we were here and agreed to buy it before we went home. We came and went for several years until we decided to move to Texas. Our lives changed a couple of years ago and we stopped renting Garden Cottage but now they've changed again and we've renovated and updated the amenities so that we can share this little piece of heaven again.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There's a little bit of magic to this place. The air is quiet and light is beautiful. The porch is a lovely place to sit or you can stare up at the stars from the hot tub.
