La maison est située à la frontière de Poughkeepsie et l'historique de Hyde Park, domicile de Franklin et Eleanor Roosevelt. Le Culinary Institute of America se trouve à cinq minutes en voiture et a non seulement des classes merveilleuses mais aussi des restaurants qui sont ouverts au public (obtenir des réservations!). Collège mariste est juste un peu plus loin et le centre de minutes Poughkeepsie est d'environ 10 minutes en voiture. Rhinebeck, Beacon, New Paltz, Newburgh et Woodstock sont tous à une courte distance en voiture. Profitez de toute la vallée de Hudson a à offrir, y compris (LOTS) de antiquités, manger bord de mer, et toutes sortes d'événements de l'été et de vacances.

The house was exactly as advertised, and the host could not have been more helpful. We extended our stay and would have again if it wasn't booked.

Nice Old House, Great Location

Stayed here with my wife and adult son. Nice old house, well maintained with classic old house feel and quirks (one bathroom upstairs, no large "entertainment" space) but it is as advertised. Great location near FDR home, the Culinary Institute and train to NY city. Check in was smooth. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Super comfortable home

A very comfortable and convenient location with easy access to surrounding locatons like Hyde Park and Rhinebeck. Well-stocked with amenities, snacks and soda to a number of toiletries. Nice outdoor space as well. We highly recommend staying here. Tiffany has thought of everything to make your stay easy and enjoyable and communicates all the information you need to make checking in and out seamless efficiently without delay. Accommodating to all our requests.

Awesome hosts!

This is one of the most generously hosted and well appointed properties we have ever stayed at! Not only was the place spotless, there were so many tiny details the hosts laid out for us that made it a welcoming and wonderful stay for our family (2 teens, mom, dad and doggo) as our older son visited CIA (Culinary Institute of America). We weren’t in town long enough to take full advantage of the impressively stocked kitchen, but it was a dream for my son! We really enjoyed the front family room for playing games and catching up on shows when the heat kept us huddled in the AC one afternoon. We were there during historically hot days, so upon arrival we were a little unprepared for the house temperature and window AC units (versus central air) but the two bedroom units cooled those rooms fine. Thankfully the third bedroom without a window unit wasn’t occupied until the heat broke. Downstairs the window unit in the kitchen and the unit in the sunroom worked well except for the very hottest of hot bits. Again, this was uncharacteristically hot weather, but something to keep in mind for those of us used to AC! Also, there are no sidewalks in the neighborhood and cars drive very quickly so we didn’t feel comfortable taking our dog for a walk outside of the yard. All that being said, we really enjoyed the property and wish the weather had allowed us to take more advantage of the back patio for grilling/dining and enjoying the fire pit!

Hyde Park Getaway

We (family of 4 with 2 adult children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for exploring the FDR estate and library, and the Vanderbilt mansion too. The house was spotlessly clean and well-stocked; it had everything we needed. As a bonus, the art in the house was interesting and fun.

Convenient to Vassar College for families

Well kept and very clean and exceptionally well-equipped. We cooked meals for the entire family with no problem. Much recommended!

Charming Well Stocked Home in Hyde Park

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely and amazingly equipped home! The farmhouse kitchen had everything for baking and cooking - 3 types of cooking oil, flour, sugar, fridge stocked with soda, condiments and even eggs, cupboards with canned and dry goods, and even ingredients for s’mores! The sunroom was cozy and stocked with all sorts of art supplies. The living room had a great corner couch and a cabinet with board games puzzles and books and a piano! Upstairs the 3 bedrooms had lovely touches and the one bathroom was stocked with toiletries and other thoughtful items. The beautiful woodwork throughout the house added to the charm. The basement had everything necessary for laundry (and the door to the downstairs had height markings from the children who must have once lived there). The back yard allowed our pup to play away from a city apartment. There is not a complete fence, but there is even a stake near the house to attach a long leash. As it was January, we didn’t use the outdoor furniture but did make a roaring fire in the excellent brick fire pit and made s’mores. The house is located 10 minutes from the Culinary Institute of America (make reservations for one of their restaurants many weeks in advance!) and even closer to Val Kill, Eleanor Roosevelt’s home. Also near FDR’s home and Presidential Library and the Vanderbilt Mansion. Our host was great too! All in all a wonderful long weekend!

Beautiful and welcoming home

My family and I spent a long weekend in Poughkeepsie for an early birthday celebration. The house was spotless, organized, and filled with everything we could have wanted and more in every room. The owners left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy in the kitchen, chocolates on each of the 3 beds and the kitchen was stocked with baking supplies, countless great appliances (KitchenAid stand mixer, Keurig machine), high quality condiments, spices, baking supplies, a variety of snacks, the list goes on! We used the kitchen to its fullest extent to make delicious meals together which made our stay even more special. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean with plenty of pillows, blankets. There was beautiful art, fun books to read, and a collection of board games to play. We had plenty to do which was lovely since we were staying there during quite a big snowstorm. Tiffany was extremely prompt in replying to questions before our stay and made sure the house was toasty on our arrival. During our stay, it snowed almost a foot. Someone came by first thing in the morning to plow the driveway and shovel the stairs. They even came back later in the day to clear the additional bit of snow that fell afterward. Thank you, Tiffany and Seb for all the thoughtful touches around the home and for being such great hosts. We'll be back!

Never have we stayed at a place where the owner went to such lengths to think of every possible need of their guests. Every single need has been taken into consideration. Nice quiet street with a peaceful backyard. Close and accessible to so many nearby attractions.

Our Favorite Fall Weekend

We are group of 5 knitters who have enjoyed staying at this house for the second consecutive year. The house is perfect, clean, and the hosts, Tiffany and Seb, are the best, most responsive hosts I've ever dealt with in my travels. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely, relaxing weekend away.

We enjoyed our stay

Nice location for exploring the Hudson valley. This older house had character. Window A/C units were working well, which was important since the temperatures were hotter than normal the first few days. Access to house with code was easy to use. Modern kitchen was a nice feature. House was clean, the only exception being the stove top which was greasy - I estimate the house cleaner must have missed it after the prior people left. Couldn't get the remote for the Apple TV to work properly. Maybe we needed an Apple account which we do not have.

Best vacation home experience ever

I'll start by saying, I have traveled with the same group of women for many years and we have always looked for a place that we would rent year after year for the same trek and we have finally found our winner! Tiffany and Seb's home has literally everything one might possibly need for a relaxing weekend away. From a well-stocked kitchen to complimentary sodas in the fridge and luxury travel toiletries for every guest, everything about this place was top-notch. In addition to all of that, Tiffany and Seb were the most responsive and kind hosts with whom I've had the pleasure of interacting.

Clean, Quiet, and Well Provisioned

In addition to being in a great location -- felt like it was well away from the city yet within minutes of everything -- this was one of the best equipped and provisioned VRBO property that we've stayed at. While we of course shopped for our main groceries, it seemed like everything else that we required was already there, including a fridge with all the basics plus a good assortment of soft drinks. Everything in the house was neatly arranged and spotlessly clean. We liked the quiet, semi-rural feel of the area, but also liked being within minutes of things like the Hudson walkway, the FDR and Vanderbilt mansions, the Mid-Hudson highway bridge, and the Culinary Institute of America. We had a tour and an outstanding dinner there, but be forewarned that you have to make reservations well in advance if you want a particular date or time!

Vassar graduation weekend

We enjoyed our stay which was for Vassar graduation weekend. The property is about 15 mins away from Vassar. The frog chorus from across the road was impressive!

Awesome Getaway !!!

House is great, well stocked! Quiet area close to the action (hikes, restaurants, etc). Host is very responsive and you basically have everything you need. My kids enjoyed playing the games and walking to the ice cream shop. G
