THE TURTLE CLUB - Piscine, accès au canal et rampe de mise à l'eau

Le Turtle Club est une retraite confortable niché dans le village d'Avon. La mise en page est sur un seul niveau, une histoire, et est la moitié d'un duplex. Il dispose de deux grandes terrasses couvertes à l'avant et arrière qui sont parfait pour attraper le matin / soleil du soir et offre beaucoup d'ombre dans le milieu de la journée. La zone commune dispose d'un plafond cathédrale spacieuse terminé en planches de bois, et comprend la cuisine et espace de vie ouvert. Il ya un foyer au bois, un bar et une cuisine moderne entièrement équipée avec une île de manger dans la barre de petit déjeuner avec 10 chaises. De chaque côté de la salle commune sont deux chambres qui sont reliées par une salle de bain complète, et une demi-salle de bain hors de la zone de vie. Chacune des quatre chambres dispose d'une porte coulissante en verre à l'une des deux terrasses couvertes.

Caractéristiques uniques de l'emplacement:
- Une piscine partagée est à quelques pas du pont avant, elle est partagée par les personnes séjournant dans l'autre duplex également (pour la plupart, il s'agit de votre piscine privée).
- L’action nautique vous attend juste devant votre porte puisque le Turtle Club est situé dans le complexe du Kite Club Hatteras, ce qui signifie que le kitesurf et les cours de stand up paddle sortent tous les jours des quais.
- Les longs quais du canal sont parfaits pour la pêche, la pêche au crabe et l'amarrage de votre bateau. Un poste de nettoyage du poisson est situé sur le plus petit des quais.
- Gril à gaz sur le porche arrière.
- Douche extérieure et buanderie sur le porche.
- Désolé, nous n'avons pas de câble, mais des connexions pour ordinateur portable sont disponibles pour diffuser des émissions en streaming et des films sur le téléviseur.
- Les draps et les serviettes de bain sont fournis sans frais supplémentaires.
- Nous nous efforçons également de vous fournir tous les ustensiles de cuisine que vous auriez à la maison.

North Carolina's Most RESTFUL Retreat

Mts. To the Sea

This property was perfect for the four of us. My husband and I along with our travel buddies loved the spacious house, large open concept of the kitchen and living room. Everything was provided in the kitchen. The deep porches were great for catching the breezes and enjoying happy hours as we overlooked the canal. The fact we were located in a nice neighborhood for walking was a plus. Didn’t take advantage of the pool or the kayak and paddle board as we were there the first week in November. We did make use of the grill and nearby restaurants. Would love to return next year in warmer weather to take advantage of the water!

Une belle maison de vacances

Maison parfaite pour des vacances. Tout sur un même étage. Peut être moins intéressant si vous souhaitez moins de promiscuité. Super intéressant avec la piscine creusée mais la maison (duplex) est dans un terrain éloigné de la route pas très attirant. Endroit calme et paisible que je recommande.

We had a wonderful stay

Our stay was incredible, 2 weeks of outstanding weather, the accommodations were great. We could not have picked a better place to stay. Melissa and Christo were incredible hosts right onsite and were attentive to our every need. Highly recommended for couples, or a large family. Relaxation and Adventure

Quite the memorable week at the Turtle Club in Avon. We weren't there to kitesurf but to have a family vacation with our three young kids. It was so nice. Different from the northern parts of the outer banks. We miss some of the fun stuff in the upper parts, but I love the laid-back vibe of Avon and Hatteras island. The waves were rough from the atlantic our week but we found a spot (Sandy Bay, ocean side) on Hatteras' south side where it was shallow enough that we could boogie board with the kids. We hit it up every day and did all sorts of interesting stuff to fill out the days. We visited a salt farm and an oyster farm, taking a boat out into the Pamlico sound. Great seafood everywhere and recommend orange blossom bakery, buxton munch, and the mad crabber, the latter has great seafood and vibe literally within walking distance of the place. Only thing I'd say negative about the place is the picture shows a king bed in one of the bedrooms and my wife and I were looking forward to claiming that as our bedroom but alas there was no king bed so we had to share a (full, i think? maybe queen), which wasn't the worst thing in the world but a notch down from the luxury we were expecting. That said, the place is great, we had plenty of room and comfort, and Christo and Melissa were awesome hosts! They live next door and are very helpful and genial. It's like they are your friendly neighbors. The Pamlico Sound surged up into the carport and surrounding areas during our final night there, as we got pelted with high winds in the wake of Hurricane Michael, which was kinda crazy, and a little bit scary at times, but all in all, it was a pretty cool and memorable experience. Christo knew exactly the right place to move our car to higher ground and kept watch during the wee hours while my family slept safe and sound up in the Turtle Club. It was fascinating to see nature at work and I think a lesson for the kids and something to not forget to top off our memorable fall break in Avon. Thanks!

Great place for families with young kids

We stayed the week before Labor Day with 4 adults and a 3yo and 7yo. Plenty of space, very comfortable, and the pool right outside the unit was a hit, as was the well-outfitted kitchen. We will definitely be booking again next time we come down to the Outer Banks.

MOST RELAXING TRIP WE'VE EVER BEEN ON

The turtle club is awesome! The duplex pictured here that we stayed in was very clean and had almost everything we needed to cook and run our daily lives with. They even had a toybox full of toys for my 2 year old daughter and my friend's 6 year old. It's extremely private and that's one of the main things that we loved. It has a pool which appears to be shared by 4 units. We were a little worried about that when we first pulled in because the pool is smaller, but, it ended up not being a problem at all. Each family pretty gave each other the space to enjoy the pool and it was extremely refreshing! We had a lot of fun in that little pool alone! This was such a chill vacation. Every other vacation we've had we are rushing to get here and there and do excursions but this was it for us. we look forward to coming back next year! If I had to critique one thing it would be the beds...Not very comfortable, all of the adults had an issue sleeping on them. and it sounds like it has Grandmas 1970's plastic covering them. Overall, awesome stay!!!!

Convenient location yet secluded.

Great service from the owners. The house was clean and quiet. Nice clean pool, steps away from the house. You can swing on the front porch and watch the kids in the pool. Plenty of parking. Enjoyable stay!

Great place!

Quite peaceful and relaxing

We enjoyed the Turtle club. It’s off the main road but close to everything you need. Beds were comfortable. Showers had good water pressure. Everything was clean. Outside shower was nice to have to wash off the sand. My son loved the pool.

Great Place to bring the family .

I’ve stayed on the OBX before but my family really love it this time . The house is on the perfect spot to relax and still close to the action . Very clean well taken care of . Great place to stay!

We had a great time at the Turtle Club! The space is great--fits lots of people comfortably. The kitchen has what is needed, and sharp knives! Christo the host was very friendly. Only thing to note is the location--even though it is right in the heart of Avon, it is down two back roads--making it a pretty long walk to the beach. We had no trouble, with cars and bikes. That said, it's right on a lovely canal, and they even let us use a kayak! Go left out of the canal and you get out to the sound; go right and there's a nice, more natural canal with lots of birds to check out.

Excellent base for fishing charter

The property looks just like the pictures. It was clean down to the baseboards, and in superb condition. The location is tucked away, but very close to the main road, shopping, etc... Overall my group and I were very satisfied.

Nice place!

Great place to stay

We stayed here over thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The home is well equipped and we would definitely stay again. It’s located on a canal and that is a nice way to access the water. The home was clean and had everything we needed for a great time. Thank you!

Spacious inside and out

Nice open space. Loved the Jack and Jill setup on each side of the common area. The front and back porches were such a relaxing place to hang out. Comfortable chairs and swings. Owners were very friendly. Location was a nice walk to the marina, ocean, canal. Only problem was the Roku didn't work but we really didn't miss TV except for the playoff games.

This is Melissa and Christo, we met in the Outer Banks while kiteboarding and began working towards making Hatteras our permanent home. Christo is a kiteboarding instructor and manages his own school: Kite Club Hatteras ) which will be right next door. We love surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kiting, biking around town, exploring the local art scene and cooking. We would love the opportunity to make your stay in the Outer Banks as special as possible.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love that Avon has everything we need and it is all within biking distance: the Avon pier, grocery stores, restaurants, Club Koru’s events and catching beautiful sunrises or sunsets. It is situated perfectly between the Northern and Southern villages, so you can get everywhere else you would want to be on Hatteras Island in less than 30 minutes.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our location back in the village is one of the most secluded and laid back areas in Avon, more of an old fishing village feel, even some really cool old abandoned houses right around our property. It is set back in Avon Village where the sounds of nature crowd out the sounds of highway 12, yet it is still within walking or easy biking distance to the food, shopping and entertainment. Although back on our road you'll be part of the Kite Club Hatteras community, which means kiting, stand up paddle boarding and interesting people to meet as well.
