Good but not great

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Address provided was incorrect. Took a long time to locate the property as it was not even on the road that was listed. Property was newer and clean, with the exception of two roaches. Location isn’t terrible but I next time we’ll stay on the island. Anywhere on the island requires lots of driving so it didn’t bother us.

Prime location next to H2OBX

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean, quiet, very close to H2OBX. 10-15 minute drive to Food Lion, OBX beaches (Kitty Hawk) and entertainment. Place is equipped with a grill (small and low powered - so be advised), washer/dryer in unit, as well as an iron and small table top ironing board, added bonus a Keurig single serve.Has room for 6 to sleep but I’m not sure why they only allow 4? Also there’s a community center w/in a 5 minute walk with tennis courts, pickle ball, pool, workout center and basketball court. Good deal for a small family or group of friends for a golfing trip or get away.

Mixed review on the cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place was comfortable, the furniture and appliances in good shape. A few issues: The upstairs bedroom (to be fair, described as “a loft”) had no bathroom, so if the occupant needed relief in the middle of the night, it meant descending a narrow, winding metal staircase; wifi was weak, sometimes cut out entirely; scant drawer space to store clothes; closet had a solitary hanger; no one used the “championship” putting green, because it was too shaggy to be of use; and there was no provision for recycling.

Great family get away Home.

Only 20 minutes to Kills Devil Hill . 2 miles from shopping. Great work out area and pool. Beaches are a close drive. Clean well taken Care of. NEEDS BLINDS IN HOME.

Great Beach Cottage

We had a nice stay in this cottage.Very clean and comfortable.We did have to call the manager about no sink stoppers,and someone brought them the next day.We brought all the essentials for the week,including cooking / grilling tools.The cottage needs real window shades,towel bars in the bathroom and a dresser in each bedroom.Pool was lovely, and location was close to beach and restaurants.

Nice cottage but horrible customer service

Overall. It was a very nice place to stay. The kitchen trash can is way too small. The girl that works at the pool was extremely rude both times I spoke with her. There was a thunderstorm in the afternoon and they closed the pool which we understood. But the storm cleared and she said she didn't want to open it and it was at her discretion. I spent a LOT of money to stay there to be treated the way I was. She should not be working with the public. I am a nurse and have worked customer service for 25 years and have never been talked to in that manner. The cottage info was given to us by a number not a name. When she asked the name of the cottage, I said I wasn't sure and gave her the number. She looked at me and hateful said "you don't even know where you are staying". Again. Beautiful cottage on the inside but the customer service was awful. I wish someone would have mentioned that these are across the street from a trailer park.

Great companion place to friends’ house on the beach

Super clean, good layout. Just be sure to bring EVERYTHING with you (dish soap, hand soap, shower soap, shampoo, salt, pepper, sugar, Mr. coffee filters, napkins, paper towels, detergent, etc. )

Not a bad place to stay at all

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the Palmer House for 6 people; overall no real complaints, just a few minor issues: 1) both bedrooms could use a dresser, the only place to store clothes was the closet or floor, 2) the upstairs loft needs blinds for the windows, very bright in the morning, 3) kitchen needs one more frying pan. Our biggest complaint was the check in time - at first it was 4 pm, then we were told 4-6 pm. In the end it worked out but communication with the realty was a bit problematic and confusing, especially since the house was vacant the night before our arrival. But it's new and clean, the putting green was fun, close to the pool (gym closed unfortunately), short drive to the beach. Didn't play golf but that is close as well. Neat little community.

OBX Vacation

Our time spent as a family for an extended weekend was thoroughly enjoyable. Our getaway was to spend time with our son and fiance before their marriage in Oct. The amenities fit our plans perfectly, from the grill (which we used quite frequently) to the open living area. Of course the fact the temperatures were in the 80's contributed to a successful stay as well. Something this place can't controll :)

Great 3 Nights

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rented Palmer Cottage for 3 nights and had a memorable time. Pool, gym and golf course are all on the grounds. Mini golf behind the homes. Homes are clean with full kitchens and a gas grill on the deck. 10 minutes from Kitty Hawk and 15 minutes from Duck. Beaches are near by also. Water park was great experience too and all the people were friendly, truly welcoming.

I rented 3 houses all next to each other. I refilled 2 of the 3 propane. Awaiting refund for propane. My family loved the area.
