À propos de cet hébergement

La Calcara, une villa d'architecte primée au design architectural, est située au milieu d'un domaine privé de 7 hectares qui s'étend de la route d'Amalfitaine jusqu'à la mer. Il est entouré de vergers de citrons, d’oranges et d’oliviers qui, associés à des bouganvilliers, forment un paysage typiquement en terrasses et créent l’atmosphère méditerranéenne typique des cartes postales.

LA PISCINE
Sa grande piscine à débordement d’eau de mer de 18mx8m crée le sentiment d’être suspendue sur la mer Méditerranée. Pour que la température de l'eau soit toujours supérieure à 25 ° C, la piscine est CHAUFFÉE pendant les mois de mars, avril, mai, septembre et octobre. L'eau de la piscine, directement pompée de la mer, est traitée avec le système ozonateur qui élimine le chlore et préserve le goût naturel de la mer Méditerranée. Le résultat est d'avoir la mer au-dessous de la villa, livrée jusqu'à la piscine de la maison, le tout pour une expérience de baignade époustouflante.

POSITION
La propriété est entièrement exposée au sud, située sur la côte de CapoDorso à Maiori, faisant directement face à Amalfi, Ravello et Conca De Marini. Le soleil se lève vers l'est sur une tour normande voisine du 12ème siècle, traverse la Méditerranée par le sud et se couche sur la baie d'Amalfi à l'ouest, ce qui a pour effet d'éclairer tous les lieux du lever au coucher du soleil.
Mer la plus proche, la notre à la baie de la propriété. La plage de sable la plus proche est Cavallo Morto, à 500 m, en bateau-taxi. Restaurants les plus proches à Maiori à 5 minutes en voiture. Amalfi à 20m en voiture, Ravello à 25 minutes en voiture, Pomepei à 30 minutes en voiture.

LA MAISON
En entrant dans la maison, vous trouverez le salon principal depuis lequel vous aurez accès à la cuisine moderne entièrement équipée et à une terrasse panoramique donnant sur une authentique tour normande, la mer Méditerranée et une forêt luxuriante avec un monastère byzantin du 11ème siècle incrusté en arrière-plan.
Depuis le salon, vous avez également accès à 4 des 6 chambres, à la terrasse est ombragée et meublée et au chemin de la piscine situé du côté ouest. Deux (2) chambres séparées font partie de la villa: une avec un lit double queen size avec salle de bain en-suite, qui fait partie de la maison principale et dispose d'un accès indépendant, et l'autre avec deux lits simples et une salle de bain séparée de deux mètres loin de la maison principale. La villa dispose de la climatisation dans le salon principal et dans chaque chambre, à l'exception de la plus petite, bien ombragée et desservie par un ventilateur.

L'ACCÈS EXCLUSIF À LA MER
Depuis la maison par un chemin privé, vous avez un accès terrestre exclusif à la mer, où vous pourrez plonger dans l’eau à travers une plateforme de bronzage ou l’une des deux grottes naturelles. Pour finir, il y a une cascade avec son eau de montagne scintillante qui cascade dans la mer turquoise.

ACCESSIBILITÉ
La villa est accessible depuis la route côtière principale, en y accédant par la porte principale de la propriété. Juste devant la porte se trouve l'arrêt de bus SITA. Après avoir franchi la porte de la propriété, il vous faudrait parcourir environ 200 mètres à travers la propriété sur un chemin privé pour atteindre le parking de la Villa, qui compte 5 places. À partir de là, il ne vous faudra que 20 mètres pour atteindre l'entrée de la maison. . La piscine est à 30 mètres de la maison principale et il y a 15 marches à parcourir pour descendre ou monter à partir de celle-ci.

Superbe domaine mais d'accès difficile,

La piscine bien entendu est un vrai bonheur, Il ne faut pas hésiter à poser vos questions à Ulrico qui se mettra en quatre pour vous satisfaire. Prévoir de faire le maximum de courses de nourriture à l'avance car le shopping relève du parcours du combattant tant pour ciculer que pour stationner

Très belle villa avec vue imprenable sur la côte amalfitaine

Superbe villa avec une très belle piscine à débordement donnant sur une vue imprenable sur la côte amalfitaine. Emplacement idéal situé sur la côte entre Vietri sul mare et Positano. Seul bémol, la voiture est indispensable pour aller au restaurant ou bien faire les courses. Néanmoins je recommande cette villa !

This is a dream home!

This villa is absolutely stunning! Even more beautiful in person. I only wish we had more time to just relax at the villa. We opted for a home cooked meal one night and it was one of our favorite meals in all of our stops in Italy, plus we didn’t have to dress for dinner.We are so very happy we connected with Anthony to drive us around. He is absolutely amazing and a very safe driver. We found it way too dangerous to walk to the bus stop so Anthony took us everywhere.Caterina and Rosario are so delightful as well as Pepe and Raphaelo (the outdoor cats).I highly recommend this villa and pray we get to return soon.

One of a kind property

We had a big family group and the accommodations were perfect for us. It was the end of winter and we did not get to enjoy some of the summer activities but we still had a wonderful time hiking around the property and taking in the unbelievable views. Little coastal towns were close by and without all the summer traffic we could park, shop and enjoy the local cuisine. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. It really personifies the wonderful Amalfi coast. Our hosts were kind and responded to any of our needs. Highly recommend.

Truly Magical

I spent over a year planning for my 60th and this Villa was the first to pop up during my search and even though I looked for a few months I always came back to this Oasis! Everything was wonderfully handled from my first email to Ulrico (owner) to book, through extending my stay a few weeks ahead of my visit. The property is secluded with breathtaking views! I chose the room off the main house (15 steps from my door to front door) so, I could view the tower and beautiful landscape when I woke up. The pool and views from the pool especially at night are breathtaking and just extremely relaxing. We walked to Maiori daily along the Amalfi Hwy- to grab a ferry, champagne runs, etc.. It's not scary at all and we love to walk. So many folks do this that you just need to keep an eye on things. I suggest the bus or Anthony (Taxi) to come up;-) The Tower Normanna was one of our favorite places and experiences. The service is incredible and you'll pass it on the way into Maiori. If nothing else, order a bottle of champagne or wine or both and enjoy the rooftop view or dining level outdoor seating. We hiked from the Villa to and along the Lemon Trail to Ravello (2 went all the way up) it's tough! Enjoy the Villa and a dinner from Carmen on the memorable outdoor terrace!

Idyllic

The Villa and its surroundings are nothing short of idyllic. The listing is accurate, but nothing compared to the real-life experience. Rooms and beds well accommodated our family of 7 adults. There are so many places to sneak away to explore or meditate. Several of the guys braved the sea entry below the villa, but a few of us just enjoyed the adventure and the beautiful view. Carmela, Caterina and Rosaria were charming, and full of life. They cooked for us 2 nights and it was hands down the best food we had during our weeklong stay in Maiori. Take my advice and don't eat all day if the ladies are preparing dinner for you, and expect to roll away from the table, full and happy. This was the perfect way to spend a week on the Amalfi coast.

We loved our stay. You will need a car or driver. We opted with Anthony a recommended driver. He was great. Air conditioning worked well. The patio was our hangout with THAT view. Fantastic. The pool is down the other side of the property which worked fine. Again. THAT view! Amazing. The pool was heated and huge!! We loved it. Beds to some may be considered hard. The small bedroom with galley beds I personally wouldn’t count on. But perhaps perfect for some moody teens only. Still highly recommend. We know comparatively it is a deal! Staff was friendly and attentive. The walks to the lookout or Grotto are only for the fit! We did it though. The Grotto rope to pull yourself out is difficult but worth it!

Wonderful wedding week at Villa La Calcara

We spent a week at the villa this September. 8 adults 25-35 years old and 4 adults 50-65 years old. The property is amazing, we enjoyed the pool multiple times each day and made two trips to the grotto to swim. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the views each night. Rosaria and Caterina were extremely helpful all week, always going above and beyond to accommodate us. Ulricco gave amazing recommendations and constantly kept in touch which made planning a breeze. We were married on the rooftop terrace and it went perfectly thanks to everyone’s help. Anthony our taxi driver was the absolute best. We spoke every day whether it was booking rides or him making suggestions and reservations for us. He even had pizzas delivered to us the first night because we were so exhausted from traveling and took us grocery shopping the next day. The location was great as it is out of the busy areas but you do need a ride to do anything. We enjoyed the town of Maiori and visiting the center every day. It has many shops, restaurants and the ferry port. I highly recommend staying at this property, we will be back one day!

Splendid Stay at Villa La Calcara

We all had an amazing time! The villa is charming, and we love the view, pool, and tranquility it offered! Carmela (cook), Caterina (housekeeping), and Anthony (White Taxi driver) were extremely kind, hospitable, and helpful! Carmela’s meals were delicious, and we really enjoyed her and her help’s company, despite the language barrier. I loved meeting Carmela’s husband one early morning when he offered my daughter and I fresh figs. I enjoyed watching him tend to the tomatoes and figs in the garden and dry them on the terrace. I appreciate and love the simplicity of life here in Maiori. Caterina, looking exactly like her father, was so courteous and helpful. It is nice to learn about her children, especially since they are the same age as my niece and daughter, 11 and 8-years old, respectively. Anthony is a kindred spirit! He is sincere and genuine. He proactively reached out to me and arranged our logistics prior to our arrival to the Coast and provided great recommendations during our stay. He goes out of his way to arrange great experiences for us! We are so fortunate to learn about him and his family. We are thrilled for the arrival of his new family member in December! We will miss the Coast, but most of all, we will miss our hosts and hostesses here! Everyone really made a great effort to make us feel at home.

Heaven on earth

We loved the week we spent in this lovely place. The pool was such a relief as it was very hot while we were there. We were in good proximity to shopping and restaurants (by car or taxi). The hosts were very responsive and considerate. We had 2 meals prepared for us there by Carmela that were so delicious and memorable. Town was so busy, as was the beach, so it was lovely to return to a peaceful oasis away from the crowds. The rooftop terrace was a great place to sit and look at the moon and enjoy the evening breeze. My daughters and granddaughter loved the outdoor cat, Pepe, and wanted to take him home. Thank you to Carmela, Catarina, Rosaria, and the sweet lady that helped Carmela with serving the meal, sorry I can't remember her name. We dream of coming back.

Positives-view, setting, pool, air-conditioning all great housekeepers/cooks did an excellent job. we did breakfast every morning & they cooked for us 2 evenings-they were very friendly too. Internet unreliable & downstairs bed & bath needs updated, some mattresses need replaced.

Wedding in Maiori

We came for a wedding with both families staying at the villa. The setting is gorgeous and the pool is unbelievable (the whole group spent time in the pool every day). The villa is fantastic with great views and all the amenities. The internet connectivity was a bit shaky and we did trip the power several times but the overall experience was excellent.

Wonderful family Amalfi Holiday

Everything was wonderful. There were 11 of us in our family and the Villa was beautiful and perfect accommodations. Ulrico was a great host with help booking a beautiful boat trip with "Commodore" Giovanni Rumalo to Capri and the Amalfi coast area. My wife, younger son and I used Anthony White's taxi service for several trips to Maori and also a day trip to Pompeii and Ravello for shopping, sightseeing and a fantastic lunch with a beautiful view. He also arranged for our guide Mariano who was very good and knowledgeable about Pompeii; his English was also good. We ate at several restaurants in Maori and Nareno - all were good. We did take-out pizzas from Donna Maria 2 nights and they were delicious / reasonably priced. We had Carmella cook us a wonderful dinner one night (Menu Cetara) for our daughter's birthday and the food/service was spectacular. The infinity style pool with water right from the Mediterranean was really nice and relaxing and the children loved it - we all did. The Nave walk and lookout view was beautiful. We even enjoyed hanging clothes to dry on the roof terrace (no dryer) because it was such a gorgeous view and the clothes dried quickly in the morning sun. My only caution is that the walk down/up to the grotto is steep and you need to be in good physical condition and walk carefully. It is a beautiful swim; waves can get choppy, so morning is best. We will definitely be back for more wonderful times! Thank you Ulrico and Caterina, Carmela, Ciao!

Perfect location and property

Group of 9 extended family loved the property and the experience. Communications with the owner were prompt and helpful and the on-site property management team was cowry hospitable and friendly. We loved the central living space and the outdoor spaces including the pool and grotto. Convenient to the SITA bus stops for travel to Maiori and other towns. We were very happy with everything.

Stunning views and Italian charm

Overall our family loved staying at Villa La Calcara. The property is very unique and the views are gorgeous. There is a terrific common area where everyone can gather. A favorite evening was when we stopped at the local grocery and cooked our own dinner. Unfortunately, the chef was ill during our stay, but the kitchen, though small, is easy to use and the grill outside is situated in a convenient location with beautiful scenery. We loved the peace and seclusion of the property. Be prepared to drive everywhere, but we enjoyed the ability to see the coast. Anthony was a great driver…very knowledgeable and helpful. Be careful as there are no railings on the stairs around the house. Makr sure the lights are on and look down to ensure you don’t miss a step. Going down to the grotto is an adventure and wear proper shoes. The pool area is wonderful - even better than we expected. It’s huge and warm and a real bonus!

Highlight of our trip

This property is remarkable and blew us away with its beauty and accommodations. The host was very responsive and helpful with arranging transportation, a boat charter and more. The pool had excellent views, but be ready to go down steep stairs to get there. Theres also a steep hike to the grotto area. While it was a breathtaking view, it wasnt a situation for swimming when we went in October. But, absolutely beautiful view. The beds were comfortable and the home was clean and the house manager was very helpful. Highly recommend using Tony, their preferred driver, as the driveway is quite tricky. I didnt appreciate that the coastal roads arent pedestrian friendly until i arrived and saw for myself. Tony was super flexible and very professional. My toddler loved his time at the house and often asks to go back. When we return, i will definitely take up the host's service for groceries to be delivered as the store is close but not walkable. Also the catered dinner service was phenomenal! The service was superb and the food tasted great. Im so glad we stayed here and plan to do it again.

Beautiful villa, comfortable beds, well appointed with everything you need

We stayed here as a family group of 7 at the end of March. The pool was open and warm. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property is beautiful. 10/10

The location is spectacular

We very much enjoyed our stay at the villa. The property is beautiful. Caterina, the property manager, along with her Mom, Carmela, did everything they could to make us happy and comfortable. (Although, we’ve discovered that the beds in Italy are much harder than they are at home). The meals were excellent, especially the lasagna!! We were traveling with children, and everyone was so sweet to them. Must mention Mica and Rosario. They were so sweet and kind. Our driver, Anthony, became a friend to all of us. We plan on keeping in touch. Again, the outside space, pool and view could not be better.

Amazing Property

The property is located a short drive to Maiori and is directly on the coast. The views are fantastic and the pool presents as well as the pictures on line, perhaps better. An added plus are the connections the property owner has to help the stay, including contacts with taxi/transportation services and a private chef at reasonable prices.

We loved it!

Our family loved our vacation here! The views were stunning and the pool was phenomenal. I couldn’t stop taking photos of the beauty of the property. We had SO many questions for the host prior to our visit and he was so helpful and responsive. We paid for the daily breakfast and a couple dinners and all of us loved what they made for us! Highly recommend. Thank you for our wonderful vacation. We made lasting and unforgettable memories with our large family of 12! Would love to come back again.

Wonderful place for a family vacation. Housekeepers are there every day to make sure you are not in need of anything. The grotto is an amazing place for adventurous swimming !

Heaven on earth

If you are thinking of renting this beautiful villa, DO IT!! The pictures do not do it justice. It is simply spectacular. Private, peaceful, scenic. Also, Carmella is a wonderful cook and bought everything on our long grocery list, and did it so proudly and with a smile. Loved her! Anthony from White Taxi, drove us for the week and he was fabulous!! He not only got us to our destinations safely and on time, but also recommended restaurants, that we all loved. Ulrico was always available to answer any questions that we had. This is a very special place, that my family will never forget. We will be back, someday.

I live in portugal with my family: my wife who is a designer, my two girls, viorica and the pets. I love the ocean ...but as I married an italian muse, we agreed to keep a foot in the med, this house is definetly my favourite mediterranean sea hydeaway.

it is the perfect place to escape the crowds in lively surrounding areas rich in culture, and the ideal spot to do amazing excursions in archeological places, amazing beaches and beautiful fishermen villages! Of course if you want to join the crowd in 3 minutes you are in Maiori, or Minori, 15 minutes you are in Amalfi

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

for those that tend to enjoy a property...the amazing seawater swiming pool (heated in March, April, May, September, October, November), once a day we go down to the turquoise sea and its natural grottos...350 steps it is a fantastic excercise! and tipically twice a week we ask Carmela (the house keeper!) to cook for us...as she knows the art as anybody good in town!
