Cross House Studio a été entièrement rénové en 2019 pour fournir un hébergement de luxe et est fini dans une qualité extrêmement élevée.

Il est situé en plein centre de ce village populaire, pittoresque et historique, à seulement 500 mètres du château. Les magasins, les pubs sympathiques du village, les cafés charmants et les bistrots uniques sont tous à moins de 50 mètres, mais la propriété offre toujours une retraite tranquille nichée derrière la rue principale. Warkworth est dominé par son beau château et ses promenades au bord de la rivière. Il est à seulement 10 minutes à pied de la baie de sable qui s'étend d'Alnmouth à Amble dans une zone d'une beauté naturelle exceptionnelle et se trouve sur la route côtière offrant plus de 20 miles de plages de sable doré. C'est une base de vacances idéale pour explorer la magnifique côte à proximité ainsi que les collines de Cheviot. Le château et les jardins d'Alnwick sont à 9,6 km. Excursions en bateau à l'île Coquet d'Amble à seulement 2 miles. Parcours de golf local ½ mile. Gare à 5 km pour des excursions à Newcastle, Édimbourg et au-delà. Un service de bus local fonctionne régulièrement pour des trajets plus locaux. C'est un endroit idéal pour explorer le littoral du patrimoine et au-delà. Le studio se trouve derrière la propriété du propriétaire avec un autre appartement de vacances.

Bit of Heaven

Property is spacious. Bed very comfy. Shower hot and good power jet for after long walks. Cooking area is well equipped. Tea and coffee on arrival was welcome. The underfloor heating was a real luxury, our dogs loved it. feet.

Great place!

Loved this studio!! Perfect stay with a dog. The location in Warkworth is perfect for great dog walks and the garden is perfect for morning and evening toilets. Such a peaceful and tranquil setting. Very well equipped. Great places to eat and drink in the village.

Fantastic & friendly!

A fantastic studio apartment, sparklingly clean and with a fab shower. It has a lovely walled garden which we all enjoyed. The hosts and their dogs are very friendly! Warkworth has great places to eat. We can recommend the Masons Arms for good food and very welcoming staff. It's also an easy walk along to Amble Harbour Village where there are more food options. The area is very dog friendly and has lots of beautiful beaches. We enjoyed dinner at The Heart of Northumberland in Hexham followed by a walking tour, The Hidden Horrors of Hexham - both dog friendly. Most of the independent shops allow dogs including the wonderful Barter Books in Alnwick. Lara can help you plan your days as she has great knowledge of the area and is obviously passionate about it. Like everyone we met, she wants visitors to enjoy the area. We were blown away by the hospitality and hope to visit again soon!

Excellent location

Perfect stay for myself, husband and our small dog in the heart of beautiful Warkworth. Amazing garden, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Accommodation was excellent all on one level with direct access to the garden through beautiful bi-folding doors. We enjoyed walks to Amble and to the gorgeous Warkworth beach . Excellent pubs and restaurants in Warkworth

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful village

The property was lovely and had everything we needed. We looked out over a beautiful garden and found the owners so friendly and helpful. There were riverside walks and a number of places to eat out right on our doorstep. We will definitely be back.

Our stay in Warkworth

Lovely town, Lara was really helpful in giving advice on best pubs, walks etc. We thought parking might be an issue but it wasn't and we always found a space just around the corner from our studio. Great to have a garden to let the dogs into and feel safe that they couldn't escape! Did some amazing walks, and found Druridge Bay and country park great for the dogs as there was walks around lakes, paths, a cafe and beach access too! All in all, a fab stay. Big shout out to Jasper's in Amble where we had an amazing meal but you need to book well in advance.

Fantastic stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The studio is really cleverly built on to the owner’s house and has fantastic views of the garden. It was a perfect place for two, clean, roomy, bright and well-equipped. Warkworth itself is beautiful with great walks, lovely pubs and easy access to other neighbouring towns and villages. Highly recommended.

A wonderful stay!

Lovely studio accommodation, perfect for the two of us and our dog, just what we needed for a 4 night stay, bright and airy and lovely garden for our dog to stretch her legs. Fabulous location to explore the villages near and further away and just a 15 minute walk to Warkworth beach. There were so many places to eat but our favourites were The Fish Shack and Spurelli's ice cream parlour in Amble, The Landing cafe in Beadnell, and the Masons Arms in Warkworth was good for pub food and drinks...all so dog friendly. We also enjoyed browsing in The Greenhouse, just over the road from the accommodation. Just a couple of things to point out, parking wasn't easy all of the time...there is no parking at the accommodation so you have to park in the square or nearby streets, we often had to circle for a while and wait for a space. Although we didn't want to spend much time watching tv, the studio would benefit from a more up to date tv that would allow guests to login to their own Netflix or Prime account to relax after a long day exploring. Due to the poor signal, we didn't get to watch any TV at all or be able to use the DAB stereo. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Bank Holiday Stay

Beautiful property, really well appointed and very clean, lovely outlook over the gardens. The property is located in the grounds of the owner’s property who provided us with a warm welcome and recommended places to eat and walk. The village is great and has pubs, bars and cafes a short walk away, we didn’t need to use the car all weekend. Would recommend

Warkworth Great Find

The apartment is really cosy right in the village to the rear of the main house looking onto the house garden so peaceful and quiet yet really handy. Great walks for me and Daisy the bearded collie in the village along the river and then up to the beach Great for dog owners.

Hi. Andy and Lara here! You are bound to meet us and our 2 little miniature poodles during your stay as we live in the main house at the front of the property. We are always pleased to answer any questions you have about the local area or generally just stop for a chat. Although we only moved to Warwkorth in 2016 we have been holidaying in the area for many years and often find we can give the original locals ideas on where to go!! We moved from busy West London and are loving the slower pace of life, friendly people and wide open areas Northumberland has to offer. We look forward to meeting you.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We are situated in the centre of the village about as close to all the local amenities as it is possible to be. Being walking distance to the beach is another huge plus for us. It is amazing to see the changes from season to season or even day to day. The studio is part of an original 1800's barn and still retains the exposed stone walls in parts of the property.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Guests have shared use of the large walled garden. Being directly on a regular bus route means taking the car out every day is not a necessity. There is also a lot to do directly in the village. Nearby Amble offers boat trips and a harbour. And you can even walk 6 miles along the beach to the next village Alnmouth.
