Orange Beach 2023

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Air and fridge worked great!! Wicker furniture was surprisingly comfortable. Beds comfortable but squeaky. Master bath had step up to tub and toilet. Inconvenient for seniors with no rail. Jakuzi tub but no stopper so couldn’t use. Bedroom furniture needs updated. Balcony furniture was great! Plenty of seating and two lounge chairs 😃

Facility and condo was clean with the pool area being exceptional. The condo had some minor issues ( exhaust fan not working and television issues). Warning: Condo only allows 2 vehicles for 3 bedroom condo and we had to rent a parking space at another site or risked being towed.

The good and the bad

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good...Sunswept is a great location. Parking was no issue. Pool was great. Condo view was beautiful. It was nice having 3 full baths. Short walk to the beach.The bad...dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Only 2 burners on the stove worked. Some dishes and mugs were cracked and glued together. We used paper plates all week. Patio floor needed to be cleaned. No extra linens or towels. Tried to find a pillowcase for extra pillows...none to be found. The condo needs a deep cleaning and simple updates.We would stay at Sunswept again, but not in this condo.

Great vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved this condo. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The biggest thing that we loved was the location. Right on the beach, and directly across from Walmart. So it made it super easy and convenient to just walk across the street if we needed anything and didn’t feel like driving. The condo was clean and we had more than enough room for the 5 of us. We hope to come back again!

Nice place. Only thing neg is ceiling falling down in hallway and no stoppers for sick or tub in master. Otherwise great place. Beds slept well and had everything we needed.

Great view

The room was very nice had a great view of the ocean. The room was very clean and was able to check in earlier than was expected. They was doing some work to the building so unfortunately you couldn’t sleep in do to the saws and grinders going. Conveniently located across the street from shopping so you can just walk to the stores.

I enjoyed a restful time.

I enjoyed the space, however, the sliding glass door to balcony would not lock. Workers showed up on a scaffold and painted ceiling on balcony. I was startled as I spend a lot of time on the balcony. Exhaust fan in bathroom. #1 did not work. One worker came in front door unannounced and said he was at wrong room. Maybe that was true. I think maintenance should be scheduled when condo in not being rented. We did enjoy space and location and the lady at office was very nice. Thank you.

Was disappointed

The room wasn't cleaned very well when we showed up . We called to let them know one of the big burners on stove wasn't working and the dryer wasn't drying clothes very well . No one came up to fix the problems . Ended up leaving 3 days early Bc we couldn't dry any of our clothes and no one ever showed up to fix the problem . Would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone . Also needs to be updated

You cannot beat the location of this property, but you have to be willing to bend on other areas.

If you are looking for the perfect location to stay, this is it. Right on the beach and in the middle of everything. This property was not very clean though. We had quite a few issues, but enjoyed the convenience of this place.

Great "base" for my family to meet up after a day at the beach and make plans for dinner.

Great space for 4 adults, a teen, an active 6yr old and toddler. Everyone had their own space we were not crowded and getting to the beach was easy. Everything we did, dinner, shopping and Dolphin Tour was within 5 miles of the condo. All in all great "Base Camp" for our family to regroup and relax.

Friends Trip.

We had a great time considering it was during IDA. Even when water started to drip thru the ceiling we made the best of it.Our complaint would be the cleanliness and ceiling fan bathroom vents, and a burner on the stove didn’t work in the unit.

Great pool

The floors were not very clean and the couch and a table were moved like someone meant to sweep but forgot. The pool is so big and very nice!!. The people below us were very inconsiderate, at 3:00AM they were so loud we couldn’t sleep. The City has also put in a median so you have to go about a mile past the condo make a U turn and come back. They have these up and down the beach front now it’s frustrating! Other than that the location is great!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved orange beach and will go back again. We will not go back to unit 701. Very old and outdated. To much stuff everywhere. Closets were full of furniture and other stuff. Not one empty cabinet. Even the pantry had stuff in it. Needs to be cleaned up and updated. Step up to toilet in master bedroom was out of control. Older people would never make this. Needs so much help.

Family Vacation

Hello, Start off saying we loved the location of the Condo and loved Orange Beach. The location of the Condo was Great with awesome views. We were pretty disappointed with the Condo being so out dated with old furniture and very cheap made. The baseboards and trim work looked like it was dry rotted in different areas. Patio furniture could be updated as well, would be nice if you could sit out on the patio without getting wet etc. Entrance needed a porch light it was very dark at night. Cleaning crew could of done a better job the bathrooms were not cleaned well and trash was under the beds.

Great for the price!

Great older condo, for the price we were not terribly disappointed. I don’t have any real “complaints” only suggestions! The dryer is terrible, does not dry well and SQUEAKS VERY LOUDLY! Don’t wait till the kids are in bed to dry, you can’t. Please, PLEASE replace the dryer! Not enough kitchen towels, only ONE hand towel and ONE dish cloth….really. There is no table on the balcony, very odd. There are two chaise lounges that are mostly useless and taking up half the balcony. They were too wet to even sit on for the first half of our week. There is a stool with a garden pot base screwed to it so you really can’t use it either. You can’t sit out on the balcony as a family without a table, not even a place for your coffee cup. That was disappointing. The rooms were nice size with fairly descent furniture. Nice and quiet unit with a great view. Nice large pool with a deep end! Great location with everything you need within a few miles! Loved the location.

Great location!!

Overall, we liked the property. Great location, with stores and restaurants within walking distance. . Great beach location and view. Unit was fair. Nice family atmosphere. Pool was nice and it was clean. Nice friendly staff, very helpful. The unit we stayed in is really in serious need of renovation. For example, lighting fixtures are old, it has non-functioning bathroom vents, furniture was old, one window was cracked,etc. Beds, however were comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were disappointed in this rental. The living room furniture is very uncomfortable. We had two issues that were resolved, but added to our disappointment. First the toilet seat in one of the bathrooms was completely unhooked. Whoever cleaned the unit should have found that and it should have been resolved before guests arrived. The second was that the refrigerator was not working properly and had to be replaced, but it was 3 days into our stay before it could be.We will not stay in this unit again, but do hope to return to Sunswept again next year.

Perfect beach location

We loved our stay. Perfect beach location that is affordable! Beds were comfortable. Property management was extremely friendly. Have absolutely Zero complaints. We are talking about returning here next Spring.
