The villa is an attractive and ideally designed holiday home offering magnificent views of the blue Mediterranean to the front and the Kyrenia mountain range to the rear. It is built to a high specification by the island’s premier construction company and was completed in summer 2007 on a large 800 square metre plot. The villa benefits from a private 10m x 5m overflow swimming pool and is ideally located for both beach/pool side holidays as well as a more active type holiday. The villa has a fully equipped modern kitchen, high standard finish throughout, a child friendly ground floor terrace and a further terrace on the first floor overlooking the pool and sea to the front and the panoramic Besparmac mountains to the rear.

Arrival: Ercan airport is more conveniently located and accessible from a number of UK airports (Manchester, Stansted amongst others). We can arrange for a taxi to meet you at Ercan (40 pounds sterling each way) and bring you to the villa. Larnaca airport in the south offers a wider range of fares and flights arriving from the UK. There are regular special offers on flights which make the taxi fare from Larnaca (currently 60 pounds sterling each way) to the villa worthwhile.
There will also be a welcome pack of essentials waiting for you. You will find information on use of equipment in the villa and some recommended restaurants.

Local area: The villa is only a short walk from the main road, and small buses travel frequently into Kyrenia and beyond. For exploring North Cyprus however, a car is essential. There are a number of car hire companies available to you, but if you so wish, we can arrange for a competitively priced car hire during your stay. 7 days or more hire and you qualify for free transfers to and from Ercan airport if that is your destination. Just contact us for details. Please note that at the moment there are no car hire facilities at Ercan airport and car hire is very difficult to arrange from Larnaca due to insurance problems.

Further information: Northern Cyprus is blessed with the most pleasing climate in the whole of Europe. The winters are mild, and rarely extend beyond February, and with over 300 days of sunshine a year the temperatures can reach 70F as early as March. In April and May Northern Cyprus is at its most beautiful with fields of wild flowers in full bloom. June, July and August are the hottest months and are ideal for sun worshippers. September and October are the most popular months when the weather is still warm (rarely below 80F) but the evening are pleasantly cooler. Northern Cyprus is very safe. The people are warm and welcoming and English is widely spoken. Sterling is accepted in shops and restaurants and driving is on the left.

Wonderful Vacation

The property was very clean and accommodating. Karen was very responsive. The location of the villa is great. Close to markets, Restaurants and the beach but a car is needed to travel on the island.

Flott hus i fantastisk område

Vi kom sent på natta og koordinatene på GPSen viste helt feil. Det hadde vært en fordel å bli møtt av en lokal person som kunne vist oss hvor det var, slik det har blitt gjort når vi har leid hus tidligere. Heldigvis fikk vi tak i eieren på telefonen og som kunne geleide oss riktig. Vi ankom kl. 02.00 på natta. Huset var veldig fint og bassenget helt ypperlig. Kjøkkenet var ikke så veldig bra utstyrt. Det manglet store kasseroller, noe vi absolutt trengte. Vi kjøpte litt utstyr, en skarp kniv og ostehøvel, kluter til å vaske med samt oppvaskbørste. Vi brukte bare den nederste verandaen og der var det herlig å sitte uten å være direkte i sola, den øvre var for varm. Det var nydelig med klimaanlegg, men de bråkete en del. Det var masse små maur inne og større ute, så vi måtte kjøpe gift for å bli kvitt dem. Huset ligger i et flott og rolig område, men man er avhengig av bil der. Til tider var det en intens kloakklukt ute. Men vi har hatt en fantastisk ferie i et flott hus, det passer ypperlig til en familie på seks personer. Vi anbefaler dette huset og stedet. Excellent Villa

Firstly I would like to start my review by saying how fantastic landlady Karen is. She has been an absolute professional from the moment we booked till the end responding to any queries/issues we had immediately. The villa is in excellent condition and everything has been thought of to make your stay comfortable. It has a very well maintained pool which was cleaned weekly. The villa is in a quite road, has excellent mountain view and sea view from the balcony. Despite being very hot (40C) when we were in Cyprus, there is always a breeze which makes the garden enjoyable. It is a short distance to local restaurants and beaches but away from the crowd and noise which is even better. I couldn't recommend it enough! THANK YOU Karen for making our stay so comfortable.

Absolutely Superb!!

Brilliant villa , spotless and in great location. Has everything you would ever need and Karen was a fabulous host when it comes to helping with everything before and during the stay . I would 100% recommend using this villa and am already thinking about when we can go back Steve

Beautiful Villa&helpfull owner

The villa is clean with modern furniture. We spend most of the time in the great swimming pool and eat our meals on the terace facing the pool. The views are superb, facing both ways beach and the mountain. Karen is very helpfull, she help us to arrange the pick up transport from Larnaca and also help to arrange the car rental. Thank you for your hospitality Karen, we definetly would like to stay in your villa again in our future visit.

A stunning villa

A fantastic holiday in a beautiful villa. This was our first visit to Northern Cyprus. Karen had arranged transfers for us and a hire car which were both reasonably priced. When we arrived at the villa all the essentials for the 1st day had been supplied so no need to panic about that. The villa itself is in a lovely location if not a little of the beaten track, but then you get the luxury of peace and quiet. It's in very good order with all mod cons and air conditioning. Everywhere is a short car ride away or a long walk, but the bars and restaurants in the area all seem to offer quality food and a reasonable price. I thoroughly recommend renting this villa. Lovely people, nice area and a great holiday.... Thanks again Karen

Absolutely beautiful Villa, with Stunning views

Our stay at this Villa was wonderful. Very relaxing, with a superb Pool to cool us down, as it was very hot [30 Degrees +] when we were there! There were 7 of us staying at this Villa, and there was plenty of room for everyone! Lots of local 'Very Good' Restaurants to choose from, and beautiful beaches too! Our transfer from the airport was arranged for us by Karen & Stephen, which made it a very easy journey. All in all...very satisfied and would definitely recommend this villa to friends ;))

Two weeks of heaven

This was our first visit to Northern Cyprus and boy did we get it right. First of all The weather was fantastic ,Lapta is a great place to stay,its right near to the best beaches and loads of fantastic resturants "we didnt find a bad one". Everything is fantastic value for money and the people are so friendly. BUT best of all The wonderful Villa ,it has everything you could wish for including a superb pool which we loved. We are not the type of people who go back to the same place year after year but we will be returning to this villa again for sure.p.s. the owners were fantastic helping sort out everthing prior to our arrival.Big thanks.The Ambrose family u.k.

Holiday - August 2012

Villa was aboslutely beautiful - everything you could need for a relaxing stay (with even a few extra books for when you run out!!). Bathrooms were lovely with lots of linen and towels. Kitchen was well equipped. Pool and patio area amazing, with plenty of comfy sunbeds. The little villa guide was really helpful - especially all the restuarant suggestions with great directions. We went to the Aquapark which was great for kids and the Escape beach was brilliant. Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing, simple holiday.

Second Visit

Our second time here and we enjoyed it as much as the first. (Well, even more, because it was our honeymoon!) The villa is beautiful - well-equipped, spacious, clean and well-maintained. The pool is stunning and perfect for swimming lengths or just playing. It makes life easy that Karen and Stephen arrange transfers to/ from Larnaca airport and car hire. There are plenty of excellent restaurants to choose from, all recommended by Karen or other visitors in the detailed information pack in the villa. There are places to visit if you want to (we visited Nicosia and drove to the Karpaz peninsula this time) but relaxing by the pool, enjoying the peace and quiet and soaking up the views is a seductive alternative.

wonderful holiday - july 2010

The villa was exactly as described. The pool and terrace are beautiful with sea views. The bedrooms are spacious with ensuites and the villa was really clean. Karen was very helpful arranging airport transfers and carhire. We had a fantastic holiday, it was really relaxing. We always went to Escape Beach Club which is about a 10 min drive, it is a beautiful beach with an amazing restaurant. There are lots of local restaurants they are not far but you do need a car to get around esp if you have small children. There are lots of places to visit, we went to Bellapais which was beautiful and even made it to Nicosia. I would recommend this property to friends. I am thinking of booking again for next summer.

Fantastic Holiday!

As we sat on the terrace on the first evening,barbecuing our fresh sea bass,drinking gin and tonics, playing chill-out music provided by Karen and Steven and watching the sun go down, we knew this was going to be a relaxing holiday! The villa was superb and as we were lucky enough to have fantastic October weather, we could barely tear ourselves away from it. However using the car organised by K & S we drove out to visit Kyrenia, St. Hilarion Castle, Bellapais (just for dinner!), into the hills and westwards to a beach recommended by Jan and Rob, the delightful neighbours. We were rather proud of ourselves that we even managed to go for an early morning walk around Lapta; we had to go early because we wanted to get back to the terrace and our books! The pool was outstanding - it seemed a little chilly if you didn't get in quickly but we loved being able to swim every day. We enjoyed every meal, staying in and barbecuing several nights and eating out on others, sampling a variety of restaurants recommended in K & S's useful information folder - they were all excellent. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and as soon as I've finished this review I'm going to call Karen to book for next year!

Fabulous Villa in a relaxing location!

My Wife and I stayed at the villa for ten days in October last year (2008) and we couldn't recommend it enough. The villa was light, spacious and equiped with all the home comforts you would expect, plus more and the location was just what we wanted, quiet and relaxed but close enough to all that this area has to offer. The owners not only supplied us with an extremely useful information pack about the villa and the local shops,restaurants,beaches etc but they also organised our car hire and airport transfers which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this villa to a friend and both my wife and I would love to go back.

A perfect holiday

My lovely partner and I have recently returned from a stay at this villa. We had an excellent time, the villa is extremely well equipped, very spacious and in a good location. There are great views of the mountains from the front and stunning views of the sea from the terrace and pool at the back. The pool is great, very well maintained and great for cooling off when you are starting to sizzle. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who wants a great place to stay in Cyprus.

A WONDEFUL HOLIDAY

I can highly recommend the villa for perfect relaxation. The views are breathtaking and it is a place where you can totally unwind. The villa was well equipped and although car hire is advisable, the restaurants are 5 mins drive away. Lapta itself has many restaurants to suit all tastes. I have children who are very fussy eaters yet every restaurant we visited managed to accommodate them even cooking dishes that weren't on the menu. Although direct access to the beach is limited there are several beach clubs who, for a minimal fee, supply loungers, wc facilities and beach bars. There are 2 aqua parks within 10 mins drive both of which we visited and a drive to the 'pan handle' is a must. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and truly did not want to leave. We will certainly be returning and we are secretly hoping that Karen and Steven will permit long weekend breaks so that we can just 'escape' for a few days.
