Elégante maison en bois rond sur le lac principal - ponton, kayaks, four à pizza

"The Lodge at Lake Gaston" est une belle maison de style cabane en rondins avec une vue million de dollars. Maison de 4 chambres à coucher plus mezzanine située au bord de l’eau du lac Gaston près de l’entrée du ruisseau Pea Hill. Le lac Gaston est situé directement sur la ligne d'état NC / VA et a été récemment déclaré par BuzzFeed et ses lecteurs la première escapade au lac à travers les États-Unis.

Grande maison à bateaux double avec escalier en colimaçon menant à une terrasse ensoleillée (anciennement héliport!). Boat house est prêt pour le plaisir avec beaucoup de chaises longues, salle de stockage (avec bar-fenêtre), système de son et toboggan! Grand secteur riverain (cloison) avec de l'eau profonde (5-6 pieds). La cour en pente douce a un grand foyer en pierre et un four à pizza. Nous avons également un barbecue à gaz Weber et un fumeur (tous deux reliés au propane de la maison centrale).

Cette maison a un plan d'étage ouvert; cuisine, salon et salle à manger, cheminée et 2 suites principales, plus salle d'eau et salle de lavage à l'étage principal. Les portes-fenêtres du salon et les chambres s'ouvrent sur un grand porche couvert avec une vue magnifique sur le lac Gaston et la maison de bateau. La mezzanine ouverte à l'étage donne sur le salon et offre une vue sur le lac, une chambre à coucher supplémentaire (pas de fenêtre) à l'étage.

Rendez-vous au rez-de-chaussée pour profiter de l'espace de loisirs comprenant un bar complet, des comptoirs en granit, des jeux d'arcade à l'ancienne, du baby-foot Tornado, une table de ping-pong et une installation de sonorisation TV / surround. Chambre surdimensionnée avec deux ensembles de lits superposés (les deux jumeaux plus plein) est parfait pour beaucoup d'enfants ou une famille entière.

Le ponton de mon beau-frère est amarré à la maison et disponible à la location chez lui (à la semaine ou à la journée). Si le ponton vous intéresse, je peux vous mettre directement en contact avec lui. Il existe également plusieurs marinas dans la région qui louent des bateaux et des skis nautiques.

Nous avons un bateau à pédales et des kayaks (1 kayak adulte tandem et 2 kayaks jeunes / petits adultes) à la disposition des locataires (sans frais supplémentaires).

La maison est pratique pour tous les besoins de navigation et de shopping. Sur le lac principal, mais aussi à proximité des criques plus calmes de Pea Hill Creek. 5 minutes de l'épicerie Food Lion, Dollar General et Ace Hardware.

Family Vacation

We had a great week! This home was a perfect set up for our family vacation. The porch, dock, yard, fire pit and pizza oven were perfect for an enjoyable week. The house is very clean and well appointed with all things we needed to host/entertain our family. The hosts were very responsive to questions - we did NOT have any issues with the home at all! We would definitely recommend this property!

Family Vacation 2024

This house was so amazing, and we enjoyed every aspect of it! We had a gorgeous week, a few rain storms, but it didn’t put a damper on our week at all. We loved the pizza ovens, and it was so much fun making and creating our very own pizza’s. The boat was an added bonus, we fished, and took some sunset cruises, it was amazing. The guys took a half day charter catfish boat out, and the charter picked them up right at the dock. Only one very large catfish was caught, so we made a great fried catfish lunch from it, and it was so delicious. Thanks for a great week, it was totally amazing. Will definitely be returning❤️

Great week with family

We had an amazing time enjoying the beautiful property. Coffee on the porch or the dock was an absolute delight every morning. The kitchen had everything we needed for nights in, and we were close enough to the grocery store and restaurants to have easy access to whatever we needed. The game room was fun for all - kids and adults! The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious for all. Our favorite part of the whole property was the beautiful dock. We definitely hope to be back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. It was super clean at check-in and had everything we needed! The location was great and the dock is fantastic. Plenty of room for our 9 adults.

Great stay

Great communication with owner and great amenities and extras made this place a wonderful vacation spot. Everything is well labeled, directions on everything was clear, and the house was clean and perfectly laid out. We loved relaxing at the boathouse and using the canoe and paddle board. The hammock chairs were amazing and we had plenty of chairs and space for everyone. The grill was great and we spent each night hanging out on the back deck. We’ll definitely be back!

Great place to stay

The Lodge was exactly as advertised. It was very well stocked and very well organized. The labeling and information was excellent. The interior was so comfortable and accommodations were excellent. The log beds on the main floor were a true work of art. The privacy of the accommodations from one floor to the next was incredible. We would rent this property again, for family and friends of all ages, without any hesitation.

Girlfriends get away

Great house for us! Kitchen is well stocked, very nice bed linens and pillows, beds are very comfortable, great seating both inside and outside. We enjoyed watching the stunning sunrises from the porch, and relaxing on the boat dock. Had a fun fire pit evening, and were able to take out the double person kayak for a short jaunt around the lake. So many fun things to do both inside and outside the house. Something that I did not see in the description of the house or the pictures was the dinning table which was a very nice table with seating for at least 10. Very easy access to the driveway from River Rd, however there is a little noise from the traffic on River Rd that can be heard only when outside. Would definitely come back!

Lake Gaston getaway

Property and house are neat and clean and very comfortable for all ages. Lots of places to gather or go off and read. Boat dock is well equipped and fishing/swimming is good. Our only concern was the traffic noise-not use to being so close to a main heavy traveled road. Had a super vacation.

Great house

This was our fifth time staying at Lake Gaston and this was the best house. The owners thought of everything. We have no complaints at all! The pizza oven was a cherry on the cake. The large drink cooler on the dock was a big hit with the adults. We didn’t have to buy ice once. I highly recommend staying at this house, you won’t be disappointed!

5 Star Experience

So much to say about this beautiful home right on the shores of Lake Gaston. Let's start with the location, tucked just off the main lake, the dock is protected, mostly calm and very safe for floating in the water with your friends. And the views from the house and the dock are just open water. The most relaxing expanse of water you could hope for. The dock is also nicely spaced from the neighbors, so you feel a since of privacy, which we really enjoyed. If you rent a boat, the gas dock is literally a 5 minute slow ride away. Nothing could be more convenient. And the house is exactly as advertised. Very log-cabin-ish. With every item in the kitchen that you need for cooking delicious home cooked meals, sharing them either at the large dining room table or on the wrap around porch just beyond the living room. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the attention to detail for renters was the best we have ever experienced. Every light switch, shelf and utility labeled perfectly - so never any issues with operating appliances, lights or where to return things when done. This made the experience feel more welcoming and less stressful than rental houses can sometimes be. Additionally, Lisa was incredibly informative. Responded quickly to any inquiries, even though, once we got there, we didn't have a care in the world. Instructions for arrival/departure were very clear and not at all cumbersome. It was a 5 star experience, house and lake! Would rent again for sure!

Beautiful house

We have stayed at several VRBO's on Lake Gaston and this one is soooooooo nice!! The house is beautiful! It is nicely decorated and has a well supplied kitchen! All six teenagers loved the down stairs! It was nice to be able to rent the pontoon and not have to go to the marina! We will be back!

Great Home in Lake Gaston!

Home was well equipped, easy to get to, and convenient to the nearby public boat launch for our boat. We appreciated the many activities that were included, and used them all! Had a great time using the paddle boat, kayak, stand-up paddle board, slide, ping-pong table, fire pit, and pizza oven. Our entire family felt very comfortable in the home, and the owner was easy to contact with any questions we had. We will definitely be back again!

Book it, you won’t regret it!

Amazing property. Perfect location on the lake, tranquil views. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Our entire family had a wonderful time. Our kids, ranging from teenagers to 6 years old had a blast. Great fishing. And lots of fun water toys, including kayaks, paddle boat and paddle boards, to make vacation extra special. House well stocked with everything you can need.

A little piece of heaven

This is our third time staying here and we love it here. So peaceful and beautiful relaxing by the lake. The house set up is great for a large family. We love to sit on the porch or the deck and look out at the lake. We also love using the firepit at night. I am sure we will be back again when we are looking for some family R&R.

Beautiful Property/House

Gorgeous Cabin on Lake Gaston. Owners super responsive and a pleasure to work with. We had 4 kids, and everyone had an incredibly enjoyable weekend on the water! Highly recommend this house and owners.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I fell in love with the rustic but beautiful log cabin style and the beautiful views of the main lake from nearly every room in the house. There are so few log cabin homes on the lake!

I also love our boat house and dock area. It's particularly large and we have an extended covered area that is beautiful and comfortable all year round (even in the summer since it is covered). We also have tons of chairs for relaxing with family and friends on the dock. There is a granite bar and a full-size drink fridge inside the boat house. And everyone loves the water slide.
We spend most of our time on the dock!

Whenever I am at our house I truly feel like I'm on vacation.
