À propos de cet hébergement

Notre chalet est aménagé pour des escapades en famille, d'une capacité de 8 personnes. Nous fournissons un grand canot, un pédalo, un kayak pour 2 personnes et 3 kayaks simples pour une utilisation sur le lac.

Ce chalet est parfait pour les familles, la semaine des filles ou les week-ends pour les femmes de 27 ans et plus. Les couples de 27 ans et plus sont également les bienvenus. Nous n'acceptons pas les groupes d'hommes à tout âge en tant qu'invités.

Veuillez noter que nous avons des voisins très proches des deux côtés et que le bruit doit être réduit au minimum. Notre voisin du Nord appellera l'OPP pour une plainte de bruit après 22 h. Si une plainte est enregistrée sur notre propriété, l'amende est de 500 $ et sera payée sur les dommages et intérêts.

Le chalet est à aire ouverte, la cuisine, la salle à manger et la salle familiale sont toutes ouvertes les unes aux autres. Au rez-de-chaussée se trouve un 2ème espace TV avec des jeux WI.

Georgian Hills Winery est à proximité pour une dégustation de vins et fromages. Route rapide vers Thornbury et Collingwood pour une thérapie au détail!

La grande terrasse joliment meublée pour sortir et discuter avec un verre de vin. Le bain à remous est sous le pont. Il y a une zone ombragée sous le pont pour profiter des collations de l'après-midi. Flottez dans le lac ou traînez sur le grand quai. Dans la soirée, profitez du coin salon autour de la cheminée extérieure.

Grande destination pour une escapade de golf, plusieurs parcours à proximité du chalet. Visitez les cascades du comté de Grey ou descendez la rivière Beaver en kayak. Incroyable Bruce Trail pour la randonnée à 10 minutes du chalet.

Notre lac permet des embarcations motorisées, la mise à l'eau publique est à 5 minutes du chalet. Le lac Eugenia est bien connu pour sa grande pêche.

Early Christmas

We stayed at Shasta cottage with our daughter and her family for an early Christmas. We live in PEI and wanted a place we could all stay. Shasta cottage is a beautiful place and we had everything we needed to do a bbq turkey dinner. The host was very nice and came to meet us the night we got there. We would definitely stay there again.

A great place to stay

We rented Shasta Cottage for a girls’ getaway weekend, and it was lovely! The cottage was very clean and well-stocked with just about anything we might have needed. The space is bright, cozy, and welcoming and provided plenty of space for our group of five. The second sitting area downstairs is a lovely touch. Our group unanimously agreed that we would love to rent Shasta Cottage again.

Lovely Week Away

Our group of four adults just stayed here for a week. The weather was a little rainy the first 3 days but we played board games in the gazebo, enjoyed the hot tub, and took a day trip to Collingwood to make the most of it. Last few days of gorgeous sun were even lovelier and we enjoyed some swimming, yard games and some relaxing kayak rides. The cottage was beautiful, comfortable and Deb was a pleasure to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing week away, you won’t regret it.

Friends weekend getaway

Deb's place was immaculately clean and tidy. It wasn't a big place but all the space was highly optimized. The fridge and dishwasher are small but they are nice, high-end appliances and there is a second fridge downstairs. We enjoyed the fire pit and ate outside in the gazebo. There were 5 of us and we were very comfortable. We were even all able to go out on the water together. Deb is a friendly host and I would recommend her place to anyone.

Beautiful Cottage!

The cottage was VERY clean and well stocked - has everything you could want for your stay (dishes, glassware, towels, sheets, etc). Great property with a hot tub and big backyard with firepit. The lake was beautiful but unfortunately there was an algae bloom during our stay (we didn’t know until after we arrived) and so we couldn’t enjoy the water as much as we had hoped. Luckily we had some activities planned in nearby Collingwood to keep us busy. Overall great place and happy with our stay!

Beautiful, clean, comfortable cottage in quiet peaceful setting

Our family enjoyed beautiful Shasta cottage very much. It was extremely clean & had everything we needed. Beautifully decorated. Very spacious for 3 couples. We enjoyed cooking good food on the bbq & in the beautiful, fully stocked kitchen. Loved eating our meals in the enclosed gazebo. We enjoyed the comfortable patio chairs & lawn chairs in backyard. Sat on the dock & enjoyed paddle boarding. Enjoyed the clean & spacious hot tub while watching stars. Enjoyed the firepit & Muskoka chairs (even cozy blankets are provided for cool nights). Beds, sheets & pillows were spotless & so comfortable. Plenty of towels were provided. Loved the quiet, peaceful setting. We had a fun but relaxing weekend. Communication with owner, Deb was great. She’s thought of every detail to make a memorable, fun & comfortable stay. Check-in/check-out was easy. Would definitely recommend staying here. Would give the rating over 5 stars if I could! Thank you Deb!

A Spectacular Stay

My family had an amazing 3 night stay at Shasta Cottage. The location of the property was perfect for our mini day trips, and the cottage itself exceeded our expectations. Every detail is well thought out, and the amenities were above and beyond. We loved the outdoor space, and the hottub was an added bonus to the end of our busy days. Deb, you are an excellent host, and we had the best time! I am hoping we can squeeze in a fall or winter visit!

Amazingly cozy hideaway

Overall my family enjoyed this cottage. It was so clean and well kept. My kids are ages 7-15 so they enjoyed the kayaking and paddle boarding, as well as the backyard and hot tub. We made good use of the game selection as well! My only negative comment would be that for young children who love a beach, there is no such area with this lake. We travelled to Wasaga for a day to compromise. Overall a wonderful place to make memories. Thankyou Deb

Lake Eugenia Shasta Cottage

9+. Excellent property, modern cottage and extremely clean. Dock and waterfront is not very user friendly. Modern tv"s but require your own user accounts. No Bell, Rogers or Shaw satelite or cable service. Neighbor was friendly but had large dogs who barked and came on the cottage property. Owner communications and service was outstanding.

Everything you want in a cottage.

Deb was an amazing host. The cottage was so clean that you couldn't tell it was lived in. Everything you'll need is there. My kids aged 4, 8 and 12 had a great time. Kayaking was fun. There's a beautiful private dock just steps away. We loved our time at the Shasta cottage and out of all the cottages I have been to in the past, I'll be returning to this one. There's a lot to do in the towns nearby and beautiful falls to visit with nice trails for hiking.

Beautiful place to stay

We loved our whole stay. The cottage is beautiful and the property. There was nothing we needed . We enjoyed our girls weekend away ! We just wish the weather had been better. We did however get the opportunity to kayak .

Beautiful Accommodation and Host!

We had the loveliest girls weekend at the Shasta cottage! The cottage itself is even more beautiful in person and the backyard felt like a true little oasis. All the small details and extra care provided by Deb made the weekend feel extra special! I would 100% recommend staying here and I can't wait to book again!

Incredible spot for a relaxing weekend with family or friends.

We could not have booked a better property for our stay! Deb and Bruce were extremely communicative and accommodating before our trip and during our stay. The property is beautiful, clean, fresh and relaxing. The home is fully stocked with everything we may have needed and then some. Blissful Family Time

We visited with 2 adult children. It was delightfully appointed & every guest convenience we could have requested...was already there❣️ Our kids had the lower level where they enjoyed their morning coffee, showers & evening fireplace movies in their own quarters. We enjoyed the lake view, slept like babies in comfort & luxurious linens & showered in our rain shower on the 2nd floor. Perfect shared areas: kitchen, bbq&deck w/comfy chairs, hot tub, firepit, gazebo High quality SUP & rec kayaks for paddling ofc the new dock. Delightfully refreshing & rejuvenation surrounded by peaceful lake, trees & blue skies...& osprey sightings too

The best cottage ever!

It’s hard to summarize this experience, as it was spectacular and went above and beyond all of our expectations! The area and cottage are stunning! I’m so grateful to have been able to stay in this gorgeous place and have some peaceful, quiet days away. We really didn’t want to leave. A Delight

Exceptionally clean and well stocked. Nice extras like a hot tub and BBQ. Also lake access and kayaks (we didn't use). It is in a great area with lots of natural features nearby, such as Lake Eugenia and the Bruce Trail.

Cozy cottage

Was such a lovely place for us to have our wee girls weekend! VERY clean, and cozy. The gazebo was our all time fave place to be, especially since it was a rainy weekend—so we could still Enjoy outside with complete coverage. We absolutely loved it there! Deb was so sweet as well. Helped with anything and everything you need. Would definitely recommend!

Our cottage was constructed in 2023. Our Goal is to offer great value for a 5 Star accommodation. Catering to Families wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect.
$359 per night for July & August, minimum 7 nights.
Cleaning, bed linens, bath towels as well as hot tub and beach towels cost is $200.

We take great pride in how clean and comfortable the cottage is for our Guests.
We love to host Guests who want a peaceful break from the GTA.

We are always stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, ketchup & mustard. Basic spices provided . Toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, dish and dishwasher soap.

In the 21/2 bathrooms you will find hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and 2 Blow Dryers. We don't want you to have to bring any of these items.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Enjoy the 8' x 8' brand new hot tub in the evening .
Gather around the fire pit in the huge backyard.
Enjoy a game of horseshoes or Corn hole.
We own #119 Hawthorn Lane which is our private 10' waterfront to launch the kayaks, paddle boards or go for a dip.
It is a 2 minute walk to the bridge which allows you to fish.

Our road is quiet and safe to take an early morning walk with a cup of coffee.
Modern conveniences include 2 Smart TVs, one on the main floor and one on the lower level. Wireless internet, on demand water heating, central air conditioning.
On the lower level you will find an extra full size fridge/freezer and a bar area with sink.

The town of Collingwood is a 30-minute drive from the cottage.
You will find amazing shopping and restaurants as well as lots of adventure in and around the Blue Mountain Village.

The town of Kimberley located 10 minutes from the cottage features Kimberley General Store, Justins Oven, (great fresh oven baked pizza) and Hearts Restaurant, a popular weekend hot spot.
You can be at Starbucks in Collingwood in 30 minutes, or enjoy dinner in a Fine Restaurant, modern conveniences are close by.
