Situé dans l'endroit parfait, un quartier résidentiel calme niché au cœur des contreforts de Catalina, est notre nouvelle maison à aire ouverte de style concept, 1 chambre 1 salle de bain. La maison est décorée avec goût dans un style contemporain moderne et offre le confort de la maison avec une cuisine complète, une salle de bain avec une grande douche à l'italienne, une laveuse et une sécheuse pleine grandeur, une connexion Wi-Fi et une télévision de 55 pouces avec plus de 150 chaînes. La maison est également accessible aux handicapés.

Vous pourrez vous détendre et profiter des couchers de soleil spectaculaires et d'une vue imprenable sur les montagnes de Catalina depuis les grandes baies vitrées. Une porte coulissante en verre donne accès à la cour arrière privée et au patio ombragé avec barbecue à gaz. Natation et court de tennis sont disponibles à la piscine communautaire à environ 5 minutes à pied de la maison.

La maison est située à quelques minutes du centre commercial en plein air populaire La Encantada de Tucson, des restaurants les mieux notés, des terrains de golf et des sentiers de randonnée. L'épicerie et les autres nécessités de base sont à seulement 5 minutes en voiture.

Great stay overall

We're VRBO veterans, having stayed at many across the country. Haciendas Catalina Del Rey was good overall; needs some comfort updates. Pros: Spacious casita feels far larger than the photos convey! Beautiful, quiet foothells neighborhood Gorgeous mountain views out the huge windows, and excellent privacy/separation from the owners' house Very comfortable bed Great shower & water pressure Ample closet space Amazing hiking, botanical gardens, and other attractions nearby Close to groceries, restaurants, natural areas Responsive host All at a very reasonable rate. Cons: To echo a previous reviewer - nearly none of the seating was comfortable. Probably time to replace. After spending a day hiking or walking through museums, you want some comfortable lounging. We loved: Tohono Chul botanical gardens, Arizona Museum of the Desert, Catalina State Park, Saguaro east AND west National Parks, Feast Restaurant, Vivace restaurant, Tubac (arty town with great shops about 40 miles south), Taliesin - the Frank Lloyd Wright compound up in Scottsdale. Thank you for sharing this unique place!

Amazing and Comfortable

What a great stay! The pictures don't even give a small feel of the comfort and wonder of this rental. A backyard with a mountain view. Ease of access. Close to a supermarket and not that far out of the way. Our only sadness- it's already rented for this time period next year. Vera- we will miss being your neighbor! Thanks.

Nice Casita

This small casita is nicely decorated with a pleasant patio. The shower is luxurious. The sofa and living area chairs are uncomfortable but the bed is good. We had a few issues during our stay that marred the experience including finding out after we moved in that the units heat was broken and parts of the ceiling had to come down for repairs. We also spent most of our stay battling pack rats trying to nest in our car and chewing the wiring. Due to my job I’ve stayed in tons of rentals and ran into the occasional problem but this was a bit more than I expected at a high end property.

Fits the bill in the Foothills

I am a native Tucsonan, having spent the first 17 years of my life there. I continue to visit often, staying at various properties to round out my Tucson IQ, but never have I stayed in the Catalina Foothills. Until this trip. Vera's place was perfect for the two of us. We felt far enough away from everyone else to feel safe in these Covid times and so deep in the quiet of nature that I could take business meetings outside watching hummingbirds while the mountains shifted colors in the changing light. It is a great, compact, uncomplicated, but well-designed space. We're very glad we stayed there.

Well Designed Guest House

We were very comfortable and happy in this well-designed, attractive guest house. Even for a stay of several weeks, the place always felt roomy and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals. The view of the Catalinas was amazing. We enjoyed the use of a private patio, as well as walks in the lovely neighborhood. Hosts were friendly and professional, also respecting our privacy.

Loved our stay

Fantastic place to stay. The casita is immaculately clean with quality amenities (bed, couch, towels etc etc), the view is stunning, the neighbourhood is quiet but very central with shops 5 minutes drive away. Vera was super easy to communicate with before & during our stay. Loved it!

The Best.

I'm an engineer, so here's a LIST: 1. Thoughtful host, not just in her hospitality, but in the entire functional and visual design of the home. If you lounge around long enough, you will play with the touch glow "lamp" disguised as metal wall art as well as the remote-control glowing "fireplace". If you look around long enough, you will notice how the towel colors coordinate with the wall art. Although I didn't interact with the host enough to get to know her, the guest house gave me the sense that she was very intelligent, practical, creative, and proud :) Thank you Vera. 2. Safety. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Peacefulness from my stressful life. 3. Crowd-pleasing mattresses. Memory foam King bed (2 twins) and 2 additional twin pillow-top mattresses underneath. 4. For those who love to cook, good quality kitchen supplies are in abundance. Nothing from the dollar store (like in some VRBOs) 5. Nice, thick good quality cotton terry towels. For those with OCD, they're flat and straight right out of the dryer :) 6. Massive view of the mountains. Huge windows, huge patio door. Plush backyard. 7. Privacy. Despite the huge glass openings, we had complete privacy from the main home and the neighbors' home. 8. Extremely quiet and efficient Fujitsu air conditioning system, probably a mini split with multi stage motor. 9. Resort style shower. Modern design throughout.

This is why people come to Tucson for a visit, then not want to leave.

We stayed here for 45 nights and couldn't be more pleased. The Catalina mountain panoramic view fills the kitchen and family room. You just can't beat that! This guest house is in one of the nicest, safest neighborhoods, close to restaurants, shopping, walking & hiking. It's very well equipped, clean and decorated tastefully. The private back yard offers privacy without sacrificing the view. Vera made us feel at home and helped us get acquainted with Tucson. We grilled out, cooked and spent much of our time just enjoying our surroundings. Our experience was so good, we decided to buy a home and stay in Tucson! Thanks Vera!

The house was great. Very modern,spotless , and very spacious for the 2 of us.We had a private back.

All was good. Great location. Tuscon is an easy city to get around. We were in an area called Foothills and from our backyard we viewed every day deep blue sky and the mountains very close. Interesting to see the various house architectures in town and in area where the house was.

Great location re services: shopping, restaurants. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Private fenced in backyard/patio. Vera was right next door but our privacy was never invaded. Her attention to our needs and questions was immediate. Clean well maintained property. We would stay here again!

excellent location. magnificent view of the Catalinas. easy access to walking trails at Sabino Canyon and Tohono Chul, or just in the neighborhood. the pictures do not do the place justice.the rooms are spacious, light, airy. the casita is on a downslope, so partially sheltered from the afternoon sun. the bed was comfortable. the kitchen more than adequate. bathroom. w/d substantial. very reasonably priced for what in provided. strongly recommended. I am familiar with Tucson, but Vera would be an excellent resource for travelers visiting for the first time.

Comfortable, well-appointed guest house in the Catalina Foothills

This modern, comfortable guest house was a great find for a weeklong visit to my sister and her husband, who live nearby. The unit was plenty large for my wife and myself, and large enough to comfortably entertain my sister and her husband one evening. It's clear that a lot of thought went into the architecting and design of this graceful living space. The bedroom is small but with a large, comfortable bed and plenty of closet and dresser space. There is a well-equipped kitchen at one end of the great room, with a stove, sink, small refrigerator, compact dishwasher, plenty of counter and drawer space, and a round dinette table with seating for four people. The living area, at the other end of the great room, features comfortable seating, side tables, and a large, cable-connected TV and DVD player. The bathroom features a very large walk-in shower and a clothes washer and dryer. The guest house has high ceilings, lots of good lighting, and cool, wood-grained floor tile. A large sliding door off the great room opens onto a private outdoor area with seating and views of the Catalina Mountains. In some previous places we've rented, it was clear that the furnishings were leftovers an hand-me-downs. But everything in this unit felt like it had been purchased to go together. And everything felt fresh and new and was spotlessly clean. The few times we needed the AC--heating unit, it came on quickly and performed well. Vera was a thoughtful host. She ensured that we had everything we needed and then checked in via e-message part way through our stay to be sure everything was going ok. Several times during our stay my wife and I remarked to one another how fortunate we were to have chosen Vera's place.

Amazing place in amazing location. Stay here !

My husband and I had an awesome visit - the home is so totally adorable. The backyard & view are gorgeous. The home is furnished and decorated in a way that just made us happy. Big TV, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and an awesome shower. We've done homeaway a lot and this is a favorite. I would recommend this home to all.. you won't be disappointed. The pictures don't do it justice.
