This is our own family holiday home.... which we enjoy with friends and family, including our multiple dogs. There is a 4 acre communal paddock (owned by the 6 adjoining houses) between the house and lake, which is perfect for playing cricket, running the dogs and park the boat overnight... we are happy to make our retreat available for other families to also enjoy...
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
Our home is a great option for two families who want to get away for the rat race and just hang out and enjoy the famous 'serenity' that the Doon offers... Plenty of onsite parking for cars and boats and just a short walk to the local pub which is dog and family friendly.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
As stated, this is our holiday home and unlike many BnB's with generic white walls and minimal supplies. We bought this cottage many years ago and although structurally in good nick was a bit tired and stuck in the 60's.
We have slowly renovated this old gem so now it is fun and functional. With 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 lux bathrooms with massive showers.
If you're a keen cook, there is a BBQ on the deck but the kitchens has a good stove, micro wave, electric frypans and air fryer as well as a general pantry in case you forgot to bring some herbs and spices.
There are posters on the wall and quirky colour scheme add to the character... and an assortment of DVD's and board games will keep you entertained during downtime from the lake.
However .... like us... most of the time you will spend sitting on the deck overlooking the lake and sharing a beer or glass of wine with your friends.... ahhh the serenity...!
