Welcomes to Cedar Cabin, a tranquil lakefront property where friends, couples or small families (4 people max including children) can reconnect, relax and laugh in stunning privacy. This is a backsplit viceroy cabin with massive west facing patio doors overlooking Wagner Lake. Just an hour drive north-east of downtown Toronto.

Wagner Lake is renowned for its seasonal game fishing. Lots of places to go for bike rides or hikes in Durham Forest as Uxbridge is known to be the 'Trail capital of Canada' 🇨🇦.

LAKERIDGE and DAGMAR ski resorts are just 20mins south. When the lake freezes, it is a blast to walk the lake in the crisp winter air. This is truly a place to enjoy year round!

A floating dock lakeside offers a place to kick back and enjoy the stunning sunsets, to launch the canoe or kayaks for a lake tour, or to go for a dip in the lake.

Cedar Cabin runs on geo-thermal, which utilizes the energy of the Earth to efficiently cool the house in the summer and heat it in the winter, helping to reduce our ecological footprint.

Mother-Daughters Getaway

We very much enjoyed our few days at the cabin. We couldn't have asked for a better time, everything was clean and comfortable. Just the right amount of activities between the water toys and the hot tub! It was so peaceful and very relaxing, just what we were looking for.

Relaxing Change

Lots to do, both inside and out. The calm lake is great for canoeing and kayaking. Everything is provided for fantastic campfires. The hot tub is an added bonus.

Cedar Cabin Charm

Our week at the Cedar Cabin did not disappoint! This is our third summer there and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well stocked with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. As usual, Brian was helpful and very accommodating! We look forward to next summer!

Another great stay!

This is my 4th stay at this amazing cottage (winter and summer stays) and it's terrific! Brian is incredibly responsive and keeps the home in perfect condition and stocked. The wifi is great - and all tech and tv setups are top notch. We love this property - and each member of our family has found a favourite corner of the property. Can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful and peaceful stay

What a lovely property! The host was very quick with answers to all our questions, the house was just as advertised, and we had a wonderful time. The home is very comfortable, well-appointed, great water pressure, very comfy bed, a great view, friendly neighbors…what more could you want? Wagner lake is so pretty and quiet! An outstanding experience we cannot wait to repeat. Highly recommend.

Quiet and Relaxing

We had a great week at Cedar Cabin. The cottage was very clean and tidy. The view of the lake was amazing and the large backyard was great for our 2 dogs. Brian was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

This was a lovely well-equipped cottage with a very responsive and helpful host. The property and the house were well maintained and we greatly enjoyed the hot tub. The lake makes for a beautiful view and we happily swam there although the entry is muddy and there are some weeds around the end of the dock. This is definitely a good place to use the provided kayaks and canoe and to relax on the expansive lawn. Several nice places to sit if you are looking for quiet. Good space and privacy for a place so close to Toronto - and friendly neighbours when you encounter them.

Cedar Cabin

We had a wonderful time at Cedar Cabin for a long weekend getaway. Brian was very communicative for any questions leading up. Lots of green space, dock seating and summer activities (kayaks, canoes, etc.). The cabin was equipped with AC which was nice for the super hot days and lots of board games and cards to keep busy if the weather is not cooperating. The hot tub is a great touch! Would definitely rebook, especially given how close it is to the city.

Perfect Getaway

We enjoyed our time at the Cedar Cabin this year just as much as last year! The hot tub addition was a welcome surprise! Brian was very helpful and accommodating. The cabin was clean and the spacious yard was perfect for our dog and outdoor games. Thanks for making it another special holiday for our family, Brian!

Romantic Getaway

My wife and I stayed at the Cedar Cabin and had a marvelous time. Brian was responsive and attentive to detail. The hot tub was spacious and relaxing and the lake was calm and perfect for using the kayaks that were available. We enjoyed the campfire pit on the lake and watching sunsets from the dock. On rainy days we played Wii on the Apple TV in the main room. Everything we needed for meals was available and the cottage itself was clean.

The perfect cabin

We’ve rented Brian’s cabin for two long-term stays. We love it! Brian is an incredibly responsive and kind host who made sure everything was set up for our stays to be magical. The cabin has everything a family would need and is comfortable as can be. The property is in amazing shape, the house is as quiet as can be, and the tech (TVs, wifi, etc) all work perfectly. Thanks for everything, Brian!

Private Getaway

We booked this after our wedding as a little time to get away to be alone. We loved how quiet and private the location was. We enjoyed sitting on the deck seeing the lake, and also sitting on the dock for an even better view. Tons of room for games in the lawn and even indoors. Brian was super quick to respond to any questions we may have had. The weather wasn’t the best when we were there (no one can control that) so we would definitely like to go back and fish more and use the canoe and kayaks that are available! Great price for the size and amenities you receive here.

Christmas Get Away

My family and I spent our Christman at this lovely cottage on the lake. The experience was exactly what we were looking for. The location couldn't be more perfect. It is a cottage in the middle of nature close enough to the GTA that we were able to visit with family during the holidays. Uxbridge was just a few minutes away if we were missing anything. The cabin was well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. The 2 fireplaces created a warm and cozy atmosphere. Our host Brian was the perfect host. We had such a great time and we’ll be back.
