If you love the Carolina Beach Boardwalk then you will want to reserve your stay at the "Lime in the Coconut" condo which is literally connected to the Boardwalk. The property is located on the 1st floor. This 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath unit is cozy and comfortable and features elevator access, gated parking, and a most convenient location. There's wide beach out front and a community pool and kiddie pool onsite that are sure to make your vacation even more special. You cannot stay any closer to all the fun than at "Lime in the Coconut", in fact, you might not need your car once you arrive!!

Views abound from your beachfront balcony. Inside you'll find 2 Queen bedrooms and a Queen sized sleeper sofa in the living area. The kitchen in nicely equipped including a blended for your frozen concoctions and a Keurig for your morning coffee. You won't want to miss a spectacular sunrise or the enticing aroma of fresh Britt's doughnuts.

Cabana is a beautiful oceanfront condo style facility connected to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk literally steps away from all the food, fun and excitement! Included with your reservation you will enjoy private beach access on a wide beach front and an oceanside pool. Cabana also provides private gated access for additional security with covered parking and elevator. Note that the Clubhouse is now open to Owners, Guests, and Tenants. This is a great venue for playing cards, foosball, games, or to watch a movie. We have a small share library we hope everyone utilizes. There are books for children and adults

Don't forget to check out all of the other attractions on Pleasure Island including Fort Fisher and the NC Aquarium, the fishing piers, the Carolina Beach Lake and many walking trails. You'll enjoy Thursday night fireworks and the weekend farmer's market at the Carolina Beach Lake, along with outdoor movies and paddle boat rides. Take a surfing lesson, or just ride the waves on a boogie board. You won't want to miss a spectacular sunrise over the Atlantic!

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

Parking: All vehicles are required to display an HOA issued parking pass hanging from the rearview mirror not on the dashboard while parked on the property to avoid citation or being towed. Parking fees may apply and will be included in the quoted price if applicable for your reservation. Passes are strictly enforced, and your reservation will include two passes per rental unit that are paid for by the reservation holder. All reservations year round will require parking passes which will be issued to the renter at the time of check in.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros:We loved the location on the boardwalk. We were able to park for the week and only leave one time. The unit was very nicely decorated and appointed. It had all dishes, pots, pans and utensils needed. Cons: Unit is very, very small for 4 adults. The beds, though comfortable, are extremely high. I am 5’1’ and needed to use a 12 pack of pop to get into bed. All in all it was a great stay; we would rent again if it were just myself and my husband and we brought a small footstool!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location but not sure it was worth the money spent. The rental wasn't all that clean when we arrived. There was a lot of sand on the floors, and various lights weren't working. The lock combo to get from the boardwalk into the complex was sporadic and didn't work as I was trying to get back to the unit after a storm came through. I and others had to go to the next condominium just to get out of the storm. Other than this, it was an enjoyable stay!

Property was very dirty. This place needs a deep cleaning.

To start with our feet were so dirty from walking on the floors. Coffee maker had molded coffee grinds in it blood on one of the pillows and blanket, stove was so nasty there was no way I was going to cook any food on it. Dishes in cabinets were filthy. Sheets that we had to put on beds ourselves where so thin. What really got me was they had a pic of a little girl with a book for your experience. Pic read that if you leave a bad review that the little girl will cry (really) so I did not put anything in the book. Ice maker also did not work. Also stains all over cushion in front of couch.This was a terrible experience. If this place was cleaned it mite be a pretty decent place. couch. Always love the cabana but will make sure I never rent this one ever again.

Wish we would have stayed home.

This trip was for and with our 93 year old mother. When we got to the condo and unpacked, sat down and started to turn on the TV for mom, NO REMOTE, we looked all over the place. I called the office there closed, so I left a msg. (Tuesday evening) so no TV for mom. The TV in her room did not work for that TV. The one in the second bedroom was ok, I guess she could have sat on my sister's bed and watched TV and the nice view on the walkway, not the beach on the other side of the condo. When it was time for bed mom and my sister went to there rooms and I pulled out the sofa. 1/2" of dust and some kind of candy under it. The next day, ready for a shower my mom pulled back the shower curtain and call me and my sister in there. Mold at the bottom of the shower. We had to take her to my sister's room and help her over the tub so she could wash herself and this had to be done 3 times. My sister found more mold and filth in her bathroom. I hope you can help us recover some of our wasted $$$. Thank you for any help you can give.

Take the good with the bad

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a decent experience with this condo. It is small but I knew that when I rented it. Pros- beach access and convince to the boardwalk, beds were also comfy and we had all of the kitchen dishes/appliances we needed. Cons- ice maker didn't work, no dishwasher, Kuerig leaked. I know that we could have reported the ice maker and coffee machine while we were there but let's face it, who goes on vacation to be incovienced with a repair person? I also don't like having to worry about all of my belongings if I'm not there when they show up. Another con was the lack of parking under the building, we keep all of our chairs, wagon and canapy in the car. This is a pain if you have to tote it across the street with the limited parking onsite. We only brought one car and I had to park across the street often. Also, I accidentally threw away the spare parking pass and asked the office for another when we had a local friend stop by to visit. I was told I could pick it up but there would be a $10 fee, it's a paper tag non-reusable pass. After spending $2100 for a week, I felt this to be a petty charge. Lastly, the bar across the street plays live music on Fridays and Saturdays, this is only a problem if you are trying to go to sleep before 1-2:00 am.

Great location

Great location. Easy to get to the beach. You can watch the fireworks from the balcony which was very nice. Rooms are tight and we kept stubbing our toes on the bed frames. The couch can only comfortably sit 2 people so just be prepared to sit in a kitchen chair if you're going to watch TV as a family. It served its purpose for our vacation though. Our only real complaint was the floors were rather gross upon our arrival. Sand and dirt everywhere. I had to run the vacuum as soon as we got there but our feet stayed black the whole time from walking around the condo. The rest of the place seemed clean but it did make me question how well it had been cleaned prior to our arrival.

Property is OLD and OVERPRICED, but that view…..

The property is OLD and rundown, but the oceanfront view did not disappoint. The unit has a beautiful view and is in close proximity to restaurants, activities, and of course the beach. The pool was closed for 3 of our days there, and the “hot tub” can best be described as an old broken down “not-hot-tub” converted into a deep, dirty, and cold kiddy pool. The middle bedroom shower was clogged and needed to be snaked but no one ever came after reporting the closed pool and shower issue to the rental company. As a result, each shower included wading in dirty water that overflowed each time, which had to be cleaned with the rented towels (which all had to be washed each day just to clean up the water from the overflowing shower). We had an absolutely wonderful trip to Carolina Beach, and as I said, the view was outstanding. The whole cabana, as well as the rental, is old and in need of a facelift and some repairs, including the pool and “not-hot-tub.” At just under $3k for the week, the rental was well overpriced for its condition, not to mention that the pool was closed for 3 of our days there.

Beach Condo Review

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. The condo was in a nice location. There are 4 things we found to be a problem: 1) One of the bathrooms had hair on the shower wall. 2) There was sand on the coffee tables. I know it's the beach and sand can get everywhere but this clearly had not been wiped down/dusted in quite some time. 3) Too many access codes to keep up with (gate, beach access, room, etc). 4) The covered parking had one way in & out. There was no turning around if you couldn't find a spot and all the spaces were extremely tight. Lots of maneuvering just to park.

Great apartment and location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: But ridiculous fees charged by, and no support from, the managing agency. We were charged more in fees than the unit cost us. Nearly $400 in fees for two nights. We had to clean the whole place before we left. Trash cans had to ge emptied even, I mean what a trash management company. To reiterate; the apartment was lovely. The owners should be happy with their location. They should also be looking for a different management/extortion agency.
