The good: the house itself is as pictured. The exterior is an adorable yellow house surrounded by serene waters. The interior is roomy with lots of windows and natural lighting. The bad: This house came up for my searches of homes in Bethany Beach. The listing also indicated that the house was located in Bethany Beach, as did all my emails from the rental company. We were not provided the address until we paid the first deposit. This house is about a 20 minute drive and a world away from Bethany Beach. It is located in Selbyville, right on the border of Ocean City, which is not where we wanted to be. Also not pictured is that the house is located in a manufactured living community, which wasn't the ambiance we were looking for. The ugly: If you're left-leaning, politically neutral, or just want an escape from politics while on vacation, this place is not for you. The home is surrounded on all sides by Trump and blue lives matter flags. The wifi password is Floyd8it. We are a black family with black children and felt distinctly unwelcome. Though there was a community pool, we never felt safe enough to take our young children there. I would not recommend this home to anyone.

House has two kayaks, even though that was not listed. It also has a nice fire pit that I can’t remember if it was in the listing. The driveway gate closes so a dog can run around the yard. These were all big, unexpected pluses. On the downside, the house is one of the few nice properties in a trailer park, which was unexpected. Overall, a really fun time time, but I thought future renters might want to know these pluses and minuses.

Beautiful views as pictured

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The place is just as pictured. Beautiful view last on both sides of the house. House is located at the end of a community a few miles from nice state park beaches. VRBO bookers be warned that this property is managed by Long & Foster which I found took away the ease of VRBO booking. You still have to deal with a L&F realtor and do all their paperwork and pick up and drop off one key card at L&F even though the property has a code open. This was annoying to me. But the propert was nice.
