I love the condo we stayed in. It had everything we need. No A/C was not a problem because of the fans every where. The only thing I was really disappointed in was that there was no beach access at all.

Great stay in Honokawai

Great stay in this oceanfront condo. Conveniently situated between Kaanapali and Napili. Loved the understated, mellow vibe of the condo complex. Appreciated the use of beach chairs and beach towels.

Nice views and good location

Great ocean views. The only downside was the unit had a break wall along the ocean line with no direct access to the beach. On-site property staff was very friendly.

Best view!

Property Does need some upgrades! Had problems getting the TV to work. Everything seems to close early, so it dark just having to watch the news would’ve made it a little bit easier. The kitchen did have pots and pans, but there was no mixing bowls or cereal bowls to use. There was plenty of paper products, garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish detergent. Love the fact that they gave us beach towels and there were two beach chairs in the closet. Unit needs to either remove the rugs in the bedroom or clean them. The cleanliness of the property was about a four. Our unit was a five. Would love to come back and stay again!

Nice Unit!

Very nice updated unit with plenty of living space and comfortable bedrooms. Great views from the lanais. Loved listening to the waves crash all night. Would definitely return.

Enjoyed the stay but the property is getting run down. Need to clean the carpet in bedroom. TVs didn’t work. Pool area and ocean front yard is in disrepair.

Paki Maui vacation

The property was in an excellent location. There is plenty to do in walking distance. There are restaurants, coffee shop, and a wonderful massage spa across the street. You are protected between 2 reefs and snorkeling is great in the morning. The condo has a mix of dinnerware. There are a few spices left from others to use. We bought more groceries than needed due to the abondance of amazing food to try in the area. It did get a little loud in the evenings when there was partying in the pool/hot tub area. This was usually done by 10pm after they cleared everyone out. The best was being able to watch whales from the lanai in the morning.

Great rental for a family

I searched for a place to stay that would work well for a senior and three kids (ages 11, 15, 17). This property fit the bill well! We had views of the ocean and listened to the waves every night. The location was great for getting around Maui. We loved the easy beach access. Check in was extremely easy. We utilized the kitchen a lot to make our trip more affordable. The only downsides we experienced were that the washer/dryer in the room were locked for private use but there was a unit in the building. Also, as mentioned by others, there is no air conditioning but sleeping with the windows open provides breeze. The noise from people enjoying the pool seemed to end around 10pm each evening. We were very happy with our stay and would absolutely love to go back!

Room 222

Ocean view was fantastic! We saw turtles and whales from our balcony. The place could have had more utensils in the kitchen. Cabinets in need of repair. Misleading about washer and dryer. Facilities are not in unit. No air conditioner, so when windows are open all night it is noisy outside late at night or early in morning.

Spacious, Good Location, But Dirty & Lacking Promised Supplies

The pros: Comfortable beds (including the sofa bed in LR). Nicely updated and new kitchen and appliances. Cross ventilation (except in 2nd, darker bedroom). Baseball-throwing distance to the ocean and the lanais were practically directly above the pool. Beach umbrella, boogie boards, and snorkel gear provided (yay!) Condo is much more spacious than photos lead you to believe. Easy, free parking. Across the street from a health food store and a 2 block walk to a grocery store (among others) and a permanent stand of upscale food trucks for al fresco dining experiences. Cons: This unit was not very clean. Shag carpet in MBR is in serious need of a steam cleaning. Bathrooms have one small towel rod each (yet supposed to accommodate 6 guests?!). There are exactly 6 bowls, 6 salad and dinner plates, so be prepared to wash dishes a lot. Of the 3 plug-in fans provided, 1 did a very good job, a 2nd did an adequate job, and the 3rd was a joke. We visited in early August when heat and humidity were high, and so sweated it out a great deal: something for other renters to keep in mind. Oh, and there is a constant, high-pitched whine/hum from an electrical station/box that is almost directly below the 2nd bedroom window, so be prepared to listen to that if you have the levelor window open in that room. Lastly, we rented this unit from Vacasa. BIG mistake. We went without (promised) beach towels and bath mats for the first 3 days, despite calling Vacasa. We also endured a broken, semi-working fan that blew chunks of dust and lint at us, for the first 3 days, until it was finally replaced. Vacasa was unresponsive, unhelpful, and once I drove to their local office, learned that they had never received my request for towels and a new fan. Tracking down those items is not how I wanted (or should have) spent my vacation. Boo on you, Vacasa.

9 Nights at Paki Maui 222

We stayed 9 nights in this unit. I was originally very nervous about no AC, but that was not a problem. Sunsets were very pretty and we did not find the noise from the pool to be an issue aside from the gate slamming dozens of times a day. The reason we give it two stars is b/c aside from the kitchen it is very outdated. One couch was rickety with the wicker falling apart and the cushions never stayed on. It just looked ugly and was not comfortable. The toilet clogged twice where we had to call the plumber, The dryer broke so we needed to call maintenance again, and they keypad jammed and needed to call maintenance. There is rust on the guides for the closets which makes them difficult to close to the point you feel like you are going to break the closets doors off trying to open and close them. The carpets, while not the worst, could use a replacement. It was just a gross unit with dirty old corroded paint in the corners, and dirty trim and doors throughout the rooms. The condo is not on a sandy beach or walking distance to the beautiful Kannaapali beach that Maui is known for. It is a rocky beach and the lawn chairs are on the grass, so do not think you are going to have your toes in the sand. The stairs down to the beach and other parts of the lawn were blocked off with orange construction netting so you could not go down to the water in the central part of the grass. Also, just a sore sight for ocean views and pictures. On the last two days of our trip construction started right outside our balcony in which they were replacing pipes under the grass. We woke up with a plow in front of us and then about a dozen workers pilling up sod and laying pipe. Not quite the view I was hoping for as an ocean front condo. I would not stay in this complex again, the condo was gross and the complex is out dated.

Great place

We stayed here as a family of four (1y and 5y old kids) and it was great. I was worried about the state of the condo but I was pleasantly surprised. Only thing that I want to mention is that there was only one big pot - without a lid. Otherwise everything was great. They had boogie boards, sun umbrella, two beach chairs and lots of snorkeling gear.

Phenomenal View

Watching whales and dolphins breach daily from two balconies was amazing. Condo had plenty of room for 6 adults. Room 222 furniture was comfortable but dated. Pics on website are a bit dated to actual electronics. Wi-fi was provided, a plus. Extra fans and umbrellas was appreciated. Above the pool, noisy during the day but not a problem after quiet hours. Wind and rain did not affect enjoying the balconies. Located 5 minutes from Kaanapali and 10 minutes from Lahaina. Beach access with good snorkeling in front of condo. Having a manager and security on the grounds was helpful and comforting. Would rent this room again! Vacasa was attentive and easy to work with.

Resort views minus resort costs!

We loved staying here. The view and private beach access is what people go to resorts for and we were fortunate enough to get all of that here. We saw so many whales and beautiful sunsets from our balcony. Not to mention, Larry who works the front desk for the entire condominium was sooo nice! The beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked. The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 - I wish we had a broom. We got sand everywhere and couldn’t clean it up. We could’ve used more towels for a party of 5 adults. One of the two couches is very uncomfortable to sit on, as the cushions slide out underneath you. There is also no AC, which became a problem sometimes but other times we’d open up the front and back door and it would be fine. Overall, great place to stay and great location! We would definitely rent this condo again when we revisit Maui.

Nice room, noisy location

King bed in room next to Lanai with ocean front views. However this particular room (222) was located above the pool and near the public park next property over, which were sources of screaming and shrieking children, detracting from the experience.
