Made In the Shade is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival. We pay special attention to high touch areas like remotes, light switches, and doorknobs, etc... All bedding is professionally laundered and sanitized with fresh clean comforters or duvets.

Welcome to the Made in The Shade, located in Holmes Beach, this tropical paradise features two well-appointed and comfortable one-bedroom units. Each unit is fully equipped and tastefully furnished with a king size bed in the master and a sleeper sofa in the living room. These units can be rented together or separately. Both units feature a private patio area and a gas grill for your use. Made In the Shade is just steps to the beautiful white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and just a short walk to the trolley stop.

Unit B sleeps four with a king size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room.

There is a free laundry room onsite for your use.

Parking is limited to one vehicle.
Made in the Shade is a one week minimum rental.

Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property

Property poorly managed

The kitchen outlets weren't working, so I had to open a service request, which took 48 hours to resolve. The hosts were unreachable before the stay and during. The property is just meh. The backyard is abandoned, with chairs stacked in a corner and upside down, and other seats are missing cushions; that's another item I sent a message about and am still waiting on a response (LOL). Internet kept dropping connection on all devices making it a challenge to work. Router unreachable. Only one parking space is allowed. We won't ever be staying here again. This property is poorly managed and left much to be desired. Many other better options around.

Great location and updated rental

This is a cute, updated rental perfect for a couple. Its proximity to beach access is great and is only one block off the beach.

Updated unit just a few minutes walk to the beach

Nicely appointed unit with hotel quality bedding, more than sufficient kitchen supplies, adequate water pressure, and clean. Quick access to the beach via the 29th St access lines with gorgeous tropical foliage. One block to the free trolley stop which runs from Bean Point to Coquina Beach and plenty of shopping and restaurants in between.

great location, clean and updated property, all the kitchen utensils were available. Concerns: bedroom fan is too loud. Needs replaced or repaired. Yellow chair in sitting area is not useful nor comfortable. Could not use. Should be replaced.

Holmes Beach

Perfect location, steps from the beach and walking distance to Walgreens, Publix etc. Unit is small but was great for myself, husband, and toddler. Had all the essentials. Rental company was responsive, but we really didn’t need anything or have any issues during our stay. It would be nice if the backyard was landscaped. We would stay again.

Made in the Shade Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location on a quiet street with a short path to the beach. Unit B was bright, clean and well stocked. The living room chair was not comfortable and the bed was very squeaky. Communication was great before checking in and during our 21 day stay. Amy T was wonderful to work with. She was kind, patient and understanding when searching for this place and after when we had questions or concerns before our arrival. We are very disappointed the unit is already booked for next year when we requested first rights to refusal and a hold for the next year when we booked last year. We hope to be back in the future.

I called the manager and they called right back and helped us find the breaker box and power came back on within minutes.

December 2-9 stay

Our half of the duplex was very comfortable for the two of us. It was clean and furnished nicely. It had good beach access although we didn't know soon enough about the 29th street beach access. The location was quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

Terrific rental

Everything about it was great. Very clean and updated. Only a minute to beach. Could have used a dresser in the bedroom. Would definitely stay again.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were plumbing issues: clogged bathroom sink that took two hours for the plumber to repair; clogged kitchen sink our last night. The first took six days to get a plumber. The shower turned cold each time my wife took a shower. Furniture uncomfortable. Inadequate lighting.

Just what we needed!

The path to the beach is right across the street, not a busy street by the way, and is shady, with beautiful shrubbery. The rental unit was clean and had plenty of room for me and my husband..There is no grass but the gravel was small and clean. Palm trees line the fence edge for a tropical vibe. Side porch has a bistro table and we sat here daily. It is fairly close to the fence dividing the next door property but was a relaxing spot with shade. Screened in front porch was also great. Loved the rental and hope to return soon.
