Prepare for a restful stay in quiet Neskowin at the Beach Captain, a recently remodeled condo located at Proposal Rock Inn and situated on the bank of Hawk Creek and steps from the Hawk Creek Café, Neskowin’s favorite spot for dining. This unit is on the ground floor and has wheelchair parking and access within 20 feet of the unit. The contemporary furnishings and amenity-filled space will bring you everything you need for a comfortable stay, and you’ll love lounging on the creek-side deck watching birds and the tide come and go. A sneak peek at the ocean, Pacific breezes, and gorgeous light make this a wonderful place to relax. The living room features a large flat-screen TV and fireplace, plus a bistro table for enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. A dining table and a fully equipped kitchen give you plenty of dining options. A Murphy bed folds up into the wall for extra guest quarters, and a bedroom with a TV, assures privacy. Two full bathrooms make Beach Captain an easy spot to vacation with another couple. You’ll be close to a general store and deli, the Café, a golf course, and a path along the creek to the splendid beach at Neskowin, punctuated by the tree-bedecked Proposal Rock. It’s an easy drive to Pacific City’s Haystack Rock, the Pelican Pub, and Meridian Restaurant, plus delightful beach walking at Bob Straub State Park. To the south, Lincoln City’s many activities are ten minutes away. You’ll love staying in this secluded village at the end of the day. Just what was needed

Second time staying here. Peaceful and relaxing. Room is very large and kitchen has pretty much anything you need. Really enjoy the area. Will come back.

Great 1st visit to the coast

My husband and I brought our 4 kids to enjoy the Oregon coast and we really loved staying in Neskowin with such quick access to the beach. We probably walked out there a dozen times in just the week we were there. The couch bed worked fine for my 2 youngest to share, but if they were much bigger, it may have been uncomfortable, just as a caution to any other parties of 6 that need to fit.

Gorgeous Views of the Ocean

We had such a great time in this beautifully decorated condo with stunning views of the ocean. Our stay was so relaxing, it was quiet and we played games, walked the beach and ate at the nearby restaurant. The cafe was perfect for breakfast items and coffee.

Quiet and fun

Great quiet location, clean well laid out condo, and it had everything we needed for our trip. The only problem I had was the master bed was pretty soft and hard for my wife and I to sleep on...other than that we had a great time.

Cozy Beach Home

Loved my stay here. Clean, and location was fantastic in terms of beach access. Lots of games and books available. Lincoln City is fairly close for groceries too. Restaurant and classy convenience store with limited hours right next door. I couldnt get a cell signal in the room (only on the porch) and no internet in the apartment. They said it was available at the resort, but not sure where that meant. I would definitely stay here again though. Thanks!

A peaceful paradise

As soon as we arrived was just right on time to enjoy the beach where the proposal rock is located, perfect place to sleep over for more than one night because you won’t get enough from the incredible scenario in regards the room only thing was hard was the blue sofa bed to sleep in super hard on your body and pillows were not solid but overall was good space I will go back again as I county get enough from that paradise

Perfect Beach Vacation

This unit was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped; lots of towels, extra blankets and pillows. Beds were comfortable. The location is perfect- right on the creek, easy beach access and views. Lovely little village to walk around and see the beautiful gardens. The Cafe has excellent food and friendly service, as does the Trading Company. Neskowin Farmers Market is just across the highway on Saturdays. We enjoyed buying fresh seafood, coffee, cheese and produce. Close to Lincoln City and Pacific City for short day trips. It was a very relaxing month at the beach.

Everything was perfect except the listing is for 6 and. there is NO WAY 6 people can sleep there. ok 2 in the queen and 2 in the murphy that is fine but that super small futon has no way to fit two. So it kind of ruined it all. List it for 5.

Sweet spot but lacked comfort

Had issues with there not being a key to both entrances. The sofa was so uncomfortable we couldn't sit on it. That was the biggest issue as we rented this place to hang out and relax and there was no where for us to do that except when we climbed into bed at night. The cost with all the extra fees ended up being $300+ per night. Very disappointing experience.

Splendid

This is a lovely property. We used both the bedroom and the murphy bed. They were very comfy. The home decor and arrangement are welcoming, tidy, and fun. The view from the porch or porch window is fantastic. Everything worked wonderfully. Our only challenge was the entrance which is in the master bedroom. My son was using that room because he works nights and it's easier for him to stay on his work schedule sleep time, which made it challenging to return if I left in the earlier morning. We figured out a work around. Everything else was great. We hope to return in the future. We love Neskowin. Thank you.

Not cleaned

I arrived at my rental opened the door and was met with dirty piled up sheets on bed, dirty wet towels on floor in bathrooms. Dirty floor. I called the man told me he’d call me back. After a half an hour sitting outside in my car with no call back. I called again. The women who answered said I needed to text photos of the mess. I did, but she gave me the wrong number. I wondered why she didn’t believe me. Finally someone texted me from another number and said a crew was coming. They showed up an hour later. I sat in the cold waiting with my puppy. Finally after 6 pm they were done. It was a horrible experience. They refunded me 50.00. While I was there they cleaned the carpets outside my door with weird chemical odors. It was horrible. Then the dishwasher seal was broken and the settings were broken and I had to piece it together. I will not rent from Meredith again.
