Serenity Cabin | Hot Tub | Fire Pit

Serenity Cabin is a rustic but modern cabin located on the 4F Ranch. The cabin is surrounded by several 100 year old plus oaks. The largest, named Serenity by the ranch owners, is over 200 years old. The cabin is well off the farm to market road, so noise is limited and no neighbors within 1/2 mile. Peace and quiet is abundant. Deer and turkey graze around the cabin daily. Porches front and back of the cabin offer comfortable lounging while enjoying the scenic hill country. Hiking the ranch is permitted and photography opportunities abound. Conveniently located, it's a short 20 minute drive to Kerrville, and 30 minute drive to Fredericksburg.

HOSTS – Home to Yourselves, but the hosts live nearby
SLEEPS – Up to 6 people in two bedrooms; 1 bedroom has a queen bed & the second bedroom has 2 sets of single bunkbeds
BATH – 1 full bath with a walk-in shower
KITCHEN – Fully equipped kitchen without a dishwasher
BREAKFAST – No breakfast provided
AMENITIES – WiFi, hot tub, front and back covered decks with seating, outdoor grill, firepit (not available during county burn bans), cornhole, hammock & swing, located on acreage designated as a wildlife sanctuary

You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

Great little cabin in the Hill Country

The place was very clean. We saw A LOT of deer and some wild turkeys. The hot tub was great. The s'mores and coffee were quite nice. Close to Fredrickburg and many other things to do in the area.

Exactly what we were looking for

We were looking for a good night sky and isolation from the surrounding towns. This was exactly that. Just far enough from kerrville and Fredericksburg to make it worth the day trips into town, but not having to deal with the crowds. The property is beautiful and the owners are sweet and accommodating. Mornings with the deer and turkeys are peaceful, as was soaking in the hot tub at night. The place was clean and the hot tub is refilled for every new guest. The little Mexican restaurant down the street was good and we spent some time at the local saloon playing pool and connect 4. Naps in the hammock in the afternoon, and looking at the stars at night. Unfortunately a burn ban and weather didn’t allow us to use the fire pit but it was very inviting and we look forward to the next time. If you are looking to disconnect and spend time together this is a great place to do it.

Everything was amazing!! So peaceful and saw so many deer! The cabin had everything we needed! Only issue was having trouble getting an Uber due to it being out a little ways.

Wedding-Prep Relaxing Weekend

We were trying to find some relaxation in Fredericksburg before my sister’s wedding activities began and it was great! I loved waking up to the deer and watching them as I sipped coffee. Great experience & awesome hot tub!

We had an amazing time at this location. It was small, but quaint and beautiful. We were able to take some great pictures with the scenery. We loved that it had a hot tub and enjoyed every minute of it. We were also able to make some yummie smore's while there. I would definitely go back.

Easter weekend with friends

This was a great cabin. The owners on-site were very nice and we enjoyed our stay. There were 4 adults and 2 kids on our trip and we all loved it. The kids loved the fire pit (smores) and all the land to play on while the adults loved the hot tub and the peace and quiet. We even had the kids do an Easter egg hunt. Overall, this property exceeded all of our expectations and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Absolutely amazing

Cute little cabin in the middle of nowhere. Owners home is close by but they stayed to themselves as did we. The wildlife was out and about in early AM and late evening! Cabin was clean, they had a basket with all the ingredients to make s’mores, towels for the hot tub and all the kitchen dish ware we needed! It was peaceful and enjoyable! We can’t wait to go back during winter!!

Peaceful, fun, calm

My group visited for a laid back bachelorette weekend, looking to relax before hectic wedding setup. The hot tub was on and ready for us to enjoy upon arriving, a s’mores kit was waiting for us on the table, and our beds were perfect for a good rest after our long trip in. Not much to do in the surrounding area, but we did enjoy visiting the St Mary Catholic Church (painted by Czech and German immigrants, STUNNING) + the pioneer museum about 30 minutes away. Not the best restaurant options around, but the kitchen in our VRBO was WELL equipped for us to cook anything our hearts desired! Had a chat with the owner while we were leaving, lovely person! Cute dog! Would definitely recommend

Fantastic time in the hill country

We rented the Serenity Cabin for the 2024 eclipse. It was the perfect spot to get away not just for this event but to also relax in a very peaceful location. The owners, Steve and Candy, could not be more thoughtful. When we arrived we found eclipse glasses and Moon Pies waiting for us on the dining table. Although we didn't use the firepit, if we had, there was a basket of s'mores ingredients ready to go. And the hot tub felt great after our long day of travel. We really enjoyed having coffee on the porch in the mornings as well and watching the deer and turkeys come by. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the whole cabin is very clean. On top of that, the clouds parted at eclipse time and we were able to see the whole show! All in all we were very happy with the property and recommend it with no reservations.

Rejuvenating Retreat

My husband and I had a couple days off together and staying here was the best way we could’ve chosen to share them. Sitting on the back and front porch of the cabin, enjoying the deer grazing, incredible sunrises and sunsets, the delightful hot tub and then the hammock under a beautiful oak tree-the whole time was amazing.

This stay is just what we needed . The host were nothing but amazing. The sunrise and sunsets were breath taking. The cabin looked just like the pictures. All the extras were an added bonus. We will be back !

Wonderful cabin & hosts!!

My daughter and I rented this cabin for a few days in July. Steve and Candy met us at the cabin and answered any questions and told us that the property is actually a wildlife preserve. The property was beautiful and we loved watching the deer, turkeys and rabbits in the mornings and evenings. The hot tub was perfect at the end of each day whether we were floating in the river, standup paddle boarding, shopping, or exploring. The cabin is perfectly located between Kerrville and Fredericksburg. I would recommend this rental to all of my friends and family who like quiet and no mosquitos! Steve even mailed a garment that my daughter left! I would give this 10 stars if I could!!!
