Bienvenue dans Dragons Lair. Nous avons des vues fantastiques de notre terrasse tout en vous détendant sur notre mobilier de jardin confortable. Le Black Hills offre quelque chose pour tout le monde. Pêche à la truite (1/4 de mile) sur le ruisseau dans notre développement, de VTT, randonnée pédestre et vélo (route et de montagne), Chasse, Equitation et attractions locales, y compris Mt. Rushmore. Ski minutes avec un poêle à bois pour vous réchauffer après. Situé à proximité de Deadwood historique et Sturgis dans les collines du nord.

Ceci est notre maison de vacances A-Frame personnelle situé dans un nouveau développement privé. Nous longeons National Forest, 20 yards de la maison. Wapiti, le cerf, dindes, et de nombreuses autres espèces de la faune juste à l'extérieur de votre porte. Regardez lever et le coucher de notre plate-forme enveloppante avec vue panoramique sur Custer Peak.

Great getaway location

This place is breathtaking! David is easy to get ahold of and the Cabin has everything you could need. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing, trip with overwhelming amounts of nature!

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2024

Centrally located to all the rally activities. We saw plenty of deer, peaceful location yet close enough to the riding routes. 3 guys 3 motorcycles and a garage to keep the motorcycles overnight. Couldn’t ask for more.

Cute Getaway

Cabin was so nice, communication with David was great! Very cozy and super close to Nemo, the location of the wedding. Didn’t have any issues with anything and I felt like I had all I needed right there! Was very clean and tidy!

Family Vacay to Black Hills

Wonderful little cabin nestled on top of the mountain. Great small family location. Quiet yet close enough to all the fun things the Hills have to offer. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful area

This place is amazing, our family and dog loved it. Traveling from Illinois to South Dakota with a great dane is never easy, but he loved the time we spent at the cabin and the property exploring. Thank you so much for having us, we are forever grateful.

Peaceful Retreat

We stayed here for our annual retreat to Sturgis. It was easy to access and centrally located to all the activities. The cabin was clean and well maintained. I would reccomend this as a place to stay when visiting the Black Hills.

Beautiful property!

The home was nice and very clean. It was well stocked with supplies, linens and towels and anything we needed for the kitchen and more. Comfortable beds. Beautiful deck with amazing views. Centrally located in the Hills so easy drives to any destination. I will try to stay here again when visiting the Black Hills!

Exactly what we wanted

Private, quiet, great outdoor space, especially for grilling. If you want easy access to nightlife and restaurants, this isn’t the place for you. But we were easily able to explore ALL the Black Hills — Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Deadwood, Sturgis, Spearfish Canyon, and everything in between. And the garage was an added bonus! David was great, checked in on us a couple of times. Highly recommend this house. Wonderful vacation. We didn’t want to leave!

More amazing than expected

The pictures of this cabin barely touch on the beauty of this location. Views from the deck went on forever. We spent most of our time outdoors. The cabin is clean and cozy. We can't wait to come back again.

Great Place!

The house was just as described, plenty of supplies, perfect location to surrounding areas to visit. We enjoyed our drive getting to the other towns. Loved the deck in the afternoons after a long day of sight-seeing. Watched the chipmunks play every afternoon and saw deer one evening as well. Agree with some of the other guests, a larger kitchen garbage can is definitely needed.

Vacation in the Pines

We had a really great stay, did not need anything. You can hike right off the deck into forest service ground. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck and watch sunrise and then watch the sunset in the evening. The kitchen is very well stocked. Plenty of towels and blankets. As a guest you are permitted to use half of the garage, which I thought is a really great thing.

Just Amazing!!!

Beautiful cabin in the Black Hills. My wife and I along with our 11 year old grandson had a wonderful time. The view from the deck is nothing less than spectacular. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and we had no trouble finding the place with their spot on directions. If we go back to this area again this will be the first place we check for availability. Jay & Lisa Moen

2024 Summer Vacation

We head to the Black Hills each year to ride the trails. We always stay in a different area to check out new trails. This property is just north of Nemo and south of Roubaix, annd is quick access to all side by side trails and gas. You do need to travel on highways to get to the trails. The cabin was small but cute, plenty of sleeping space for my family of four. The deck was large and we spent all our time sitting outside when we weren’t riding. The driveway is a little steep, it’s a 13 degree slope, but we were still able to back our 26’ trailer up to park next to the cabin. The host was great and responsive when we had questions about the A/C units and where we could park. We saw elk each night just north along Nemo Road, which was really cool to see!

Bike Rally at the Dragon's Lair

Beautiful mountain cabin in the Black Hills, highest around with spectacular views. Good roads off Nemo Road, driveway is very steep and somewhat intimidating for flatlanders. However, it is paved. I rode my motorcycle up and down no problem. Cabin is well equipped, and the host is attentive to questions. Satellite TV and internet. A plethora of wildlife, we saw deer and many friendly chipmunks. Wild raspberries abound. So cool, very pleasant stay.

Beautiful and Clean Cabin!

Our family stayed at this gem! The drive from Rapid City to the cabin was filled with beauty. The cabin was cozy and spacious for us three and even more if you need. The wrap around deck provided beautiful sunsets and sunrises, besides the deer’s that would visit. The star gazing was amazing from the deck at night. We explored the Black Hills within walking distance from the cabin. The drives to the National Parks were within an hour from the cabin which was not an issue since the drive was amazing. Next time we will stay longer to spend more time just at the cabin. We spent one day at the cabin to explore nearby and it was filled with serenity. All communication was done through email. He provided wonderful customer service. Thank you David for sharing your gem!

Disappointed

Views were amazing. Was a little cold due to we were not allowed to use heater controls we taped up or fireplace. We brought our ATV and was told we needed a permit , insurance and a license otherwise you face a 500.00 fine. We only knew about the permit since we noticed it on another ATV so we pulled our ATV for no reason we couldn’t use it. Were we live we don’t need those items to drive ours. So a little disappointed. The owner told us we could drive the trails. We pulled ours 1000 miles just to have it sit.

Peaceful Setting

The cabin was as it was listed in a very nice secluded area where you feel you are alone with nature! Very relaxing and beautiful views. This is only the second time using VRBO, and I wasn’t impressed with the amount of personal items in the fridge and bathroom cupboards. We like to feel like this is a home away from home for a week, and have just our own things stored, so it was a little odd. Some may not mind that. The hot water was not very hot. I could shower and wash dishes without any cold water turned on, which tells me the water isn’t turned up too high. I’d like to have hotter water to help sanitize the dishes as you wash them. Besides these small issues we really enjoyed our stay. (Our Black Lab LOVED the ability to come in and out of the house onto the enclosed deck with the magnetic screen in the sliding door.) Having the enclosed deck is another bonus of this place for peace of mind while your on the deck enjoying the sunset.

Seeing the wildlife and the scenery from our deck is outstanding. Even watching storms rolling in from the west is impressive. You can walk out the door and hike into the National Forest in seconds. The Mountain, Gravel and Road cycling is outstanding.
