Pleasant place to stay

The property is as advertised. It's spacious and the beds are comfortable; it was clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped - pretty much everything you could want (except, as one previous guest noted, bowls, and dish cloths). Rogerta responded promptly to emails with small questions and we didn't have any issues during our stay. As noted there is a second apartment in the building and you can occasionally hear talking or the TV, but it was not at volume or enough to disturb anyone used to apartment living. The property wouldn't be central for visiting New York City, but downtown Mamaroneck is a short walk or drive and it's easy to get to the train station and the thruway.

Good location…

The house was clean and comfortable, but did not have adequate supplies: no kitchen towels, no paper towels, no bowls! The dishes had to be hand-washed… yet nothing to dry them with. No soap in the bathrooms. The 3rd bathroom is in a dark cramped basement and did not have a shower curtain. When we arrived the key was not in the lockbox— the upstairs neighbor brought it down when she heard us arrive. The WiFi instructions in the welcome email were not accurate. Some of the towels were left in the dryer and another load of wet linens was still in the washing machine. The house just wasn’t ready for our stay. Frustrating. When we first reached out to Evolve they were very responsive but later in the stay they didn’t return text messages. On the plus side: beds were comfortable and the location was good.

Golf Adventure

The property is as advertised. It was extremely convenient, located two minutes from I-95. You can go north on I-95 to I-287 to head towards Rockland County, as well as to connect to I-684. You can also take Mamaroneck Ave north to the Hutchinson River Parkway or south into town to explore and find some nice restaurants. We used the house as a base of operations. It is clean user friendly.

The house was exactly as described close to trains and restaurants, was clean with all amenities. We would rent again.

Convenient, Comfortable, Clean

This house fit 3 couples comfortably. Ample parking & great neighborhood with lots of restaurants and other conveniences nearby. It was very easy to take the train into NYC. Note that the 3rd bathroom in this listing is actually in the unfinished basement and did not have shower staples like the other bathrooms did. Not a deal breaker on recommending this house, just not what we expected. The 2 upstairs bedrooms shared a bathroom. An odd quirk was a lack of bowls and coffee mugs. There are plenty of tea cups but we only found 2 coffee mugs and we didn’t find any bowls. Overall would definitely stay here again, it was very clean and comfortable.

Had to cancel reservation without staying there

We entered the house to check in, and shortly thereafter heard a child screaming on the 3rd floor. We called the owner who explained that she and the family live on the 3rd floor on weekends. This had not been mentioned in the listing, although I understand she has since corrected the listing. We cancelled immediately and without any resistance from the owner or Evolve, although VRBO was completely unhelpful. We were disappointed, as the house was very pretty and immaculate. And the owner was appropriately apologetic for the omission in the listing.

We booked the property and they canceled the day of a few hours before. We didnt even know until we arrived. The lady answered the door rude and just ungrateful I couldn't believe it wont book agian!!! Even though the place looks nice

Charming home

This property may seem out of the action but it is actually only minutes from the train that takes you right into Grand Central station in New York City in 30 minutes! The train is clean, and an event in itself. The home was bright, charming, comfortable and we loved hearing the birds every morning. A great stay!
