À propos de cet hébergement

Une maison indépendante, dans une ferme. La maison a été construite en 2017 - elle a 2 chambres, 1 lit grand (1m60x2m) avec vue sur la piscine, et l'autre chambre a 2 lits individuels, avec vue sure les champs et les arbres.
Une salle de bain jolie, avec douche.
La cuisine a de tout - elle est très bien équippée, et les invités arrivent à un goûter.
Il y a un jardin autour de la maison, et le BBQ est à côté de la porte.
Wifi, Netflix, chaînes en français et plusieurs langues.
Une autre terrasse en bas de la piscine, avec une autre salle de bain - avec douche, lavabo, WC.
La piscinie est fantastique, de sel, avec de belles vues sur les montagnes.
C'est une ferme et les propriétaires ont des moutons - 7 en ce moment. Les enfants peuvent donner à manger aux moutons - s'ils veulent!
On peut aller à pied, à travers la forêt, pour arriver à Sameiro et a BomJesus. À Taipas, il y a une rivière et on peut se promener suivant la rivière, passant des moulins.
Il y a une infinité de choses à faire dans la région, mais plus près - il y a plusieurs bons restaurants, à Longos et à Taipas. Les villes de Braga et Guimarães sont 15/25 minutes de la maison.
La plage de Esposende et 40 minutes en voiture.
Le parc national, Penêda Gerês, est 45 minutes de la maison.
C'est un coin très joli et tranquil.

Beautiful retreat

Very attractive property with superb views over the valley. Great location for a relaxing retreat but well placed to visit the many attractions. The house is really well equipped and comfortable. The garden was lovely and the pool would be a great asset after a hot day out. Our host was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit and where to eat. We really enjoyed our visit to the Pool House and to the area.

Fantastic time

The location is idyllic, very central for visiting Porto/Braga/geres. The hosts are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast and oranges off the tree to squeeze for juice. We would happily return.

We just returned from a perfect family break at the Pool House, which is a peaceful retreat with stunning valley views. It’s well-equipped and perfect for relaxing by the pool after exploring nearby Porto, Braga, and Guimarães. Fresh bread delivered daily adds a lovely touch. The host, Virginia, is warm and welcoming, offering helpful local tips. The serene setting and excellent location make it ideal for a relaxing stay with easy access to local attractions. 100% recommended!

What a perfect place to stay for a holiday

Quinta da Tapada was one of the nicest VRBOs we have stayed in. Our host Virginia was so welcoming and had thought of so many things to make our stay even more enjoyable,including lovely tasty treats and good advice on where to shop. The property enjoys gorgeous views over the valley, the pool was most welcome on the hot afternoons. A great place for either a family or a couple.

Summer getaway

The property and house were beautiful. The kids loved the pool. Be prepared for about a 30 minute drive to anywhere or longer. We arrived at night and the road to the house is windy and narrow so I would not suggest arriving after dark. Very peaceful place to stay.

Super stay.

We had a super stay at the poolhouse. Very comfortable house with all you could be needing and more. On arrival the table was set with fresh bread, cheese, wine and pastel de nata of course. The kitchen is well fitted and lots of things are available in the fridge and cuboards. Fresh eggs and bread available every day. Many thanks to Virginia who was a super host, we felt very welcome.

Super holiday Experience

The whole family enjoyed 15 daysa at the Pool House. It is in a great location with lots to do in the area. There is very good information on places to visit in the area. The house is located High up in the village so it gives beautiful views over the valley and good exercice if you walk up! Virginia is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone is happy.

A hidden gem

After a week traveling and navigating Lisbon and Porto this was such a welcome escape out of the city. Once we got there we didn’t want to leave. Virginia is an amazing hostess and the house is equipped with everything you could possible need or want. It is a very peaceful place. We slept like babies while there. I would highly recommend this place if you just want to kick back and relax.

The house was exactly as described with breathtaking views. Virginia is a real super host. She welcomed us on a late Sunday evening with a snack prepared and even wonderful food for breakfast. A beautiful piece of property with a beautiful view and Beautiful pool . Host Virginia went beyond over and above our expectations . We arrived late after enduring delayed flights etc . We arrived at The Pool House with dinner ready and a table set . Wines in the fridge and Fully stocked for breakfast so we would not have to wake up without . Virginia is a wonderful welcoming host . The best

This was the second best house rental we have had over the years we have been traveling and that has been a long time. The pool house is beautiful inside and out. Well appointed and lacking nothing. Virginia, Jose, their three teenaged kids and pets made it even more special. We learned a lot about Portugal and had great discussions over lovely dinners together. This is a very special family. The fresh oranges from the trees outside made a daily glass of freshly squeezed juice for breakfast such a treat. Although we did not intend to have dinner in it was a delight to sit at the table look out at the view and have delicious shrimp from the local grocery store and fish. One really does not need to move from there although there is lots to explore. The long beach walks were the best. We highly recommend the pool house for a quiet restful stay.

Perfect location and accommodations

After traveling non stop for two weeks we landed in Longos at this centrally located, peaceful oasis. We had a wonderful stay where we could relax and enjoy the sounds of church bells in the distance and birds chirping in the morning. All while looking out over the town below. Our host, Victoria, greeted us on arrival with fresh fruit, bread and eggs. Some wine and food that allowed us to immediately relax after a long drive. She helped us find our way around the area with excellent suggestions and was available anytime we needed anything. It was like visiting a friend. The pool house is amazing. A fully stocked kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms, a generously sized bathroom and an amazing porch area with a wood burning stove at night. We were comfortable and cozy, with lots of windows for fresh air and coverings for privacy. If you are lucky you get to meet the resident dogs and cat who live on the other side of the property and if you are really lucky can take a walk with the host through the mountain. Great exercise and amazing views. Driving is a little tricky with one way roads but any experienced driver will have no issues. We look forward to returning again when it's warmer so we can use the pool too!

Superschöne Unterkunft

Top Unterkunft mit sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Gastgeberin. Haus ist super ausgestattet mit riesigem Pool der regelmäßig gereinigt wird. Traumhafter Weitblick und sehenswerte Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Ohne Auto geht gar nichts aber mit ist viel sehenswertes innerhalb von ca. 30 Min. erreichbar (Porto ca. 50 min.). Sehr zu empfehlen für alle die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen.

Perfekt!

Tolles Haus, perfekt ausgestattet, traumhafte Aussicht, toller Pool! Ruhig gelegen und doch nahe der schönen Städte Braga und Guimaraes. Virginia ist die freundlichste Gastgeberin, die man sich nur vorstellen kann! Es ist für alles gesorgt: bei der Ankunft war der Frühstückstisch gedeckt und der Kühlschrank gefüllt. Der perfekte Start in den Urlaub ohne gleich an den ersten Einkauf denken zu müssen! Vielen Dank für alles, liebe Virginia!

Guter Start in Portugal

Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus mit toller Aussicht. Virginia sorgt dafür, dass man sich sofort wie daheim fühlt - ein schön gedeckter Tisch mit Käse, Wein, Blumen etc. steht zum Empfang bereit - hierfür nochmals vielen Dank :-) . Es ist einfach auch alles im Haus, was man für den täglichen Bedarf braucht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral für die Erkundung des Norden von Portugal. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen und uns über Ausflugtipps von Virginia sehr gefreut. Sie ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ruhige Oase in den Weinbergen

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus zum Entspannen mit tollem Blick in die Landschaft. Die Vermieterin wohnt auf dem Nachbargrundstück und kümmert sich bei Bedarf sehr nett um alle Belange. Ein prima Ausgangspunkt für Wandetouren - Küste oder zur nahen Stadt Braga.

Vous êtes reçu par Virginia Henry Martins

I have been living in Portugal since 1999. My husband is Portuguese and we have 3 teenage children - 17, 18 and 20.
I was born in N.Ireland and went to school there. Then I went to University in England and worked there for 15 years, before moving to Portugal.
I love living in Portugal because of the people, climate, food, wine, and the landscape and architecture here are beautiful.
I love walking and am happy to take guests out for a walk through the forest behind the house - if they'd like. I've also got a little flock of Cameroon sheep - if guests would like to come and see them up close, they're welcome to come with me when it's feeding time in the morning.
I keep an updated file of places for guests to visit, nice restaurants etc - just so they make the most of being here.
I love being a host - it's a privilege to meet people from all over the world, and to be able to share with them a little bit of my world.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We're in between Braga and Guimarães, so well located.
The view is amazing. The pool is salt-water, tiled blue and illuminated at night - giving a stunning effect.
There are many scenic walks around, right behind the house (leading to Sameiro and Bom Jesus, if you have the time).
Taipas is 5 minutes away and has everything - including 3 supermarkets and about 20 cafes.
We like to feel we're in the country but near the city.
We have 2 dogs and they love the walks all around here.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Well located, the view, the sounds of nature.
Guests arrive to a tasty snack and enough food to keep them going until they go shopping.
The Pool House was only built in 2017 and everything is modern. It was a labour of love! The bi-fold doors are perfect - closed when cold and totally open when it is hot. There's a wood burner on the veranda, so you can be sitting in front of the flame, nice and cosy, and admire the twinkling lights of the valley. And, the pool looks dramatic, illuminated at night. There's also a fire pit, so you can sit outside and warm your hands, enjoy a glass of port and melt marshmallows over the embers.
As the owners live nearby - they are at hand should you need advice or recommendations. You can accompany Virginia on her dog walks - along woodland paths. Or, you can go and visit the Cameroon sheep - they're very sociable!
There is a baker who comes to the house on a daily basis. He leaves a bag of fresh bread rolls dangling from the gate - so you'll never be short of a selection of bread (and the owners pay for it).
No need to pack your suitcase with herbs and spices, coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, washing powder, dishwasher tablets - it's all there at the house (and the hair dryer too).
There are excellent restaurants all around - for every budget, from very reasonable to the other extreme. Virginia provides guests with a list of her favourite restaurants and how to find them.
A neighbour has a taxi and is happy to drive guests to and from restaurants - to give the driver a rest.
Whether it's a healthy break you're after or a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings, this place won't disappoint! You'll be sure to enjoy Irish/Portuguese hospitality!!
